Job Description
LSM Walls & Ceilings is a growing Vancouver-based contractor specializing in steel stud framing, insulation, gypsum wallboard, and acoustic ceilings for commercial and institutional projects across the Lower Mainland.
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time / Contract Estimator & Detailer to join us immediately for our current active bids and upcoming projects on BidCentral.
This is a flexible part-time role perfect for a skilled detailer, estimator, or civil engineer looking for high-quality takeoff work without full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for steel studs, track, insulation, gypsum board, fasteners, and related accessories from architectural and structural drawings
Prepare detailed material lists, waste factors, and labour estimates
Review blueprints and provide constructability feedback and RFI recommendations
Support bid preparation and help us submit competitive, profitable tenders
Use takeoff software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Revit, Excel, or AI-assisted tools)

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in construction estimating, detailing, or quantity takeoffs (drywall/steel stud experience strongly preferred)
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Proficiency with takeoff tools — PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Revit, or similar (AI tools like Togal.AI are welcome)
Civil Engineering, architectural, or structural background is a major asset
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet tight bid deadlines
Located in the Greater Vancouver area (drawings can be shared digitally)
