Our family is looking for some additional support for our 3-year old daughter 1-2 days per week. Our current nanny has been with our family for 6 years, and is looking to reduce her hours from full-time to part time. As such, we're looking to add another person to our family care structure - ideally, minimum each Thursday weekly with potential for additional hours. We are looking for someone to start in late March 2023.The role is primarily focused on providing care for our 3-year old. She is a sweet, independent girl who loves getting all the attention (hence our desire to stick with nanny one-on-one care). She loves flamingo's, going to the park or other physical activities, she eats well, and enjoys reading books. The right fit is someone who enjoys active participation in toddler activities (i.e. playing with her instead of just supervising her). In addition to caring for our 3-year old, we also have a 7-year old who is in grade 1. Depending on the day, we would require the caretaker to drop our 7-year old off at school (2 blocks from our house) at 9am, and pick her up at 3pm. My husband and I are both professionals, with somewhat flexible working schedules but our daily routine varies. Typically, we are looking for support from 7:30am - 4:30pm (but this may vary slightly), so flexibility is important to us. We are easy going, and our parenting approach focuses on calm conversations, teaching our girls to understand and address their emotions, and to work collaboratively to solve problems and conflict. We have a big dog in the house. She does not require any additional care, but the right candidate needs to feel comfortable with a dog in the environment. She's old, and usually sleeps most of the day.We see our nanny as an extension of us, and feel that the right fit is extremely important. As such, we also believe in fair treatment and strive to be welcoming in any way we can to those who support our family. If we sound like the right fit, we'd love to hear from you! Please visit https://canadiannanny.ca/jobs/seeking-12-days-per-week-fullday-care-for-3year-old-girl-canadian-nanny-job-vancouver-bc to view full details and to apply.
