Description
A local legal consulting firm needs participants for a discussion group to learn about the opinions and attitudes of potential jurors. The discussion group will be held by Zoom on Wednesday April 15, 2026 at 3:00 to 5:00 pm and Friday April 17, 2026 at 3:00 to 5:00 pm
2 time slots are being offered. You can only sign up for one-time slot.
You must sign no later than 2:50 pm If you are late, you will not be permitted into the Zoom meeting.
Participants must be in an apartment or home in a private room. You will not be able to participate if you sign into the zoom meeting in a public place.
You will be compensated $100.00 via e-transfer. You must have a Canadian bank account that permits e-transfer to be paid for participating.
Further, to be considered for this discussion group, we will need to know that:
1. Neither you, nor an immediate family member, are in the legal profession or work for a law firm.
2. Neither you, nor an immediate family member, are currently or were recently involved in a lawsuit.
3. Neither you, nor an immediate family member, work for any media organization.
4. You understand and speak English and can vote in a Canadian election.
5. You are willing to affirm a Confidentiality Agreement.
6. The focus group will be recorded.
7. You are willing to give your honest opinions
8. You have not participated in a jury research project in the past
We are limiting the group size to 8 participants for each session. If you are interested and meet the above qualifications, please respond to this email. We ask the following questions so that we can form a group that reflects a typical jury:
- First and Last name
- Age
- Sex
- Religious affiliation (if applicable)
- Ethnic background
- Brief education and work history
- Telephone number
- Please state which group time you are interested in or if your schedule is flexible

WE CANNOT ACCEPT LATE ARRIVALS. IF YOU ARRIVE LATE YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE AND YOU WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED.
