BECOMING
March 7th, 2026
Come. Be Seen. Be Heard. Be Held. Be Loved. BECOME!
BECOMING has been created through the vision of your host, Jody Phoenix of Illuminated Journeys, as a way to empower and inspire women* to come together in community while acknowledging International Women's Day. It is a space to collectively honour Self and illuminate the inherent wisdom and power within. BECOMING is a deeply experiential gathering that provides a place for you to journey inward, to deepen into your self awareness and remember your wholeness.
Each year, facilitators who are embracing their sacred calling and are embodied way-finders and change-makers are personally invited to co-create as guides for the BECOMING event. It is a beautiful opportunity to come together in the presence of these leading lights of our community. This year there will nine guides, including your host, who will be taking you through this journey curated to foster sanctity and reverence for a deeply personal and nourishing experience.
The theme of this year's BECOMING gathering is centred on Remembering Your Wholeness. Throughout the day you will be thoughtfully guided into your depths so that you can connect with those parts of Self that may have held you back from trusting your inner wisdom and embracing your authentic expression and personal power. You will leave feeling inspired, uplifted and more richly connected to your Self and community.
The BECOMING guides will share their wisdom with candour as they lead you through experiences that will support softening into an unfolding. As you deepen into this inner sanctuary, your remembrance, healing and reclamation will become more accessible. The possibilities are yours to surrender to. Each offering is a part of a bigger tapestry woven together to inspire transformation and expansion. It is truly an incredible line up that has come together to make this day be a highlight of 2026.
This year the event will take place at the Coldstream Community Hall in the North Okanagan; easily accessible from the Shuswap and Central & Thompson Okanagan areas. In this space you will be encompassed in a beautiful collective energy. This new venue allows ample spaciousness and capacity to now include a shared meal and an evening social with live music to unwind, connect and integrate following an immersive day.

Murray McLauchlan is one of Canada’s most highly regarded singer/songwriters, and with good cause. Over a 50-year career, he has released 20 albums and been awarded 11 Junos. His songs Farmer’s Song, Down by the Henry Moore, Whispering Rain and Sweeping the Spotlight Away are now considered Canadian standards. Murray is also a painter, an author, an actor, a radio host; he's been bestowed an Honourary Doctor of Laws and appointed to The Order of Canada. That’s quite a ride. For many years Murray’s touring had been restricted to Lunch At Allen's, whose members also include Ian Thomas, Marc Jordan and Cindy Church. But with the release of his critically acclaimed Hourglass, he’s back on the road treating concert goers to a seamless blend of old and new.
Here’s what he has to say: "As a songwriter I know that it's not enough to sit in your kitchen and write. Your songs need to be heard. Music is a communicative art and if it isn't brought in front of people there is no way to tell if that end has been met. I like to think of a concert tour as a kind of roving gallery to test your art and your ideas. I try to do my very best to make it worthwhile for folks to be there and to perhaps look at things in a new way when they leave."
And this, in a nutshell, is the Murray McLauchlan concert experience.Reserved seating tickets for Murray McLauchlan ...Hourglass are $67.50 (tax & facility fees included, additional surcharges may apply), and are available from the box offices listed below. Showtime is 7:30pm. For more info, pics & music clips, visit www.shantero.com or www.murraymclauchlan.com
