Four beautiful kids available from Registered Oberhasli does bred with registered Nigerian Dwarf buck.
The mothers are excellent milk producers and the father comes from strong milking lines as well.1 doe, 3 wethers. I do not disbud by goats.
I see several possibilities for the future of these kids.
Do you have land that you want cleared? Scotch broom, ivy, blackberries taking over? You could buy all four for $400 and have them get to work! When their job is done, if you haven't fallen in love, you can sell them or (gulp!) eat them.Do you want to add a milker to your already established herd? I will sell the doe for $200.
Are you looking to start keeping goats for milk? I will sell the doe and one of the wethers for $300 (they can't be solo animals).I'm happy to discuss your preferred sale combo and price.

PICK UP ONLY - LANGFORD or SOOKE B.C
I have Pilgrim goslings available soon, with more being hatched throughout the next month or so. These are from 3 sister geese and 1 gander and so are partially related. I do not recommend interbreeding as health issues can arise in their young.
If you would like to be added to my list please email me with your name, number, and amount of each gender that you would like - additionally:
***I REQUIRE PHOTOS OF WHERE GOSLINGS WILL BE KEPT***Due to the carelessness of one of my previous customers - resulting in the deaths of two of their three goslings - I am now requiring a photo of your brooder and outside pen that these geese will be residing in when of age. The well being of the goslings is paramount to me and I will not tolerate further unnecessary and avoidable deaths.
***INFO ON HAVING AND RAISING GEESE***
- They are the cutest personality filled babies I have ever raised and are by far my favourite. They will bring such a smile to your face and warm your heart with their fluffy little butts! They are also the cheapest animal I have ever owned because they just eat grass.
- Geese can live up to 25 years. This is a commitment. Make sure you are ready!
- Adults are loud. Very loud. If you live in close proximity to others you will want to consider the implications of their noise levels. They are amazing alarms - you will know if anyone comes onto your property. They are only loud when there is activity near them or they are disciplining each other - also when they are mating...!
- Goslings will imprint on you - this means they will follow you around. You must walk carefully when they are loose as they want to be right at your feet and are extremely fast and easily squished.
- Goslings will complain when you leave them alone in their brooder. I recommend keeping their brooder either always in eye shot of you OR in a room / garage far enough away that you don't have to listen to these complaints at full volume for extended periods of time as it can be taxing.
- Goslings require a heat lamp usually for the first 4 weeks of life but each house / garage is different in temperature and so is required on a case by case basis. Having one is necessary, using it may not be - especially with Summer approaching. Having fans accessible is a good idea as they can overheat in the Summer time.
- Goslings and Geese are very mouthy. They will chew on everything. If you have tarps, shiny wheel rims, shoes, shoe laces (their favourite), blankets, RV covers, etc. they will likely chew on and peck at them. If you care about damage do not let your geese near these things.
- Goslings and Geese love the water - allowing them access to a kiddie pool or stock tank is highly recommended. They need it for mating purposes as well.
- Dogs and cats like to eat goslings. If you have a dog or cat, it is to be kept separate at all times from the goslings. If goslings are raised around relaxed dogs and cats they will not see them as a threat as adults making them vulnerable to attack from fox, coyote, raccoon, cougars, neighbourhood dogs, etc. Let's give them a fighting chance. Livestock guardian dogs of course do not fit into this category.
- The adult males will try to dominate you - if you do not show them you are the alpha they will likely become aggressive towards you, especially during mating season (Spring). This is perfectly manageable but requires consistent enforcement. It makes them excellent protectors of their 'ladies' however, so is a plus in my eyes.
- Neck vibrations and pecking or lunging st you are signs of dominance and should not be allowed - simply push away the goose or push into them yourself to establish that it is not okay to do that to you.
- Bears, eagles, and even raccoon will want to eat your geese. If you do not have a proper pen for them, you risk them being killed. They will probably scare off raccoon but not the bears or eagles. They need to be in a fenced off area or, if free ranged, under supervision.
- If they are raised in and around ducks and chickens they will likely become protective of them. If they are introduced as adults they may be aggressive to them instead.
- Geese go broody in the Spring and will lay eggs from a year onward. I recommend having a separate place for each goose to nest or they may pile onto the same nest which risks eggs breaking and geese pecking at each other. The first year they usually do not succeed in fully bringing eggs to hatch. They are much better second year.
***FEEDING***
-Geese eat and can survive exclusively on grass. Goslings benefit greatly from offerings of cut grass in their brooder and, if possible, periods of supervised grazing. This helps their bones form properly and contributes to overall health.
- Goslings must be provided a constant supply of Duck and Goose starter crumbles (20-22%) until 3 weeks of age, after which you will switch to a Duck and Goose pellet (14-16%) which they will eat the rest of their life. As adults you can remove feed overnight.
- Goslings must be provided with grit so they can process the grass. I use grit #1 which is the smaller size.
- Goslings must always be provided with water while their is feed accessible. They can choke on starter crumbles if no water is supplied.
If you have ANY questions please email me and ask. My list may sound daunting but I feel it is better to over inform than under inform and give goslings a fighting chance.
Goslings must be sold in 2's or more.

Just a heads up to my fellow farmers - Victoria Area
As farmers, we do what we can to make ends meet. Sometimes, that includes selling off some of our stock from time to time, which requires advertising and dealing with the public. Advertising is a breeze, it's dealing with "the public" that can be tricky or down right infuriating at times; especially when it coincides with the busiest time of year for us folk.
I've been selling my turkeys and, in general, had few complaints. That was, until last week when I was contacted by "Kelly" through Kijiji.
"Hi! I’m looking for a Tom, do you have any left I bought 8 poults this year but ALL of them are hens and I’d really like a Tom to try and raise my own
Kelly"I always like to go that extra mile for new farmers starting out. So, I decided to offer him or her one of my breeding toms to help her flock get off to a good start.
"Hi Kelly I have several young toms. I also have a 2 year old West Holland White tom that I'm reluctantly going to part with. He is very experienced and would make an excellent guardian/breeding stock for your flock. He is the big white one in the picture and he is $50. 778-425-0507"
Kelly seemed excited with her responses.
"Oh wow! I’d be very interested in him. I have a question, excuse my ignorance in the matter as this is only our 2 season doing turkeys. I have a heritage breed, I’m assuming turkeys are capable of breeding to other breeds of turkey? seems silly to ask but I just don’t know lol )
Oh so cool! Lol. We have 10 acres, and we have 9 haired Sheep. He’d have lost of area! He won’t go in the oven I need a
Good breeder
I wouldn’t be able to pick him up till Tuesday would that be okay?"
Of course, I answered her questions and suggested a time. Kelly agreed on the time I suggested.
"Tuesday afternoon around 2pm? That's when I get a break in my chores.
That can totally work!"
When Tuesday came, I hustled to do my regular chores ahead of schedule and put off my hay pick up to the next day so I could be ready for Kelly's scheduled appointment and be able to give him or her my undivided attention. Well, 2 pm came and went, while I sat and waited like an idiot for their arrival.
Around 4 pm, I fired off a polite message to Kelly.
"Are you still coming to pick him up?"
To which, Kelly's response was,
"Hi! I’m SO sorry. I have been struggling with a terrible migraine all day after a eye exam this morning I meant to message you because I do not want to be THAT person so I am so sorry.
My other half and I are coming to sooke Saturday evening for dinner at a friends they live on Robinson rd just past otter point CrossFit could Saturday work for you?
Let me know and again my sincere apologies
Kelly"Call me a glutton for punishment or just plain dumb. I agreed, to meet this person again so we made new arrangements.
"What time on Saturday?
How about like 4? Could that work?
I will need you to be here between 3 and 3:30 as we start evening chores at 4."
So you guessed it. I hustled to be ready for the appointment again aaaaaaaand Kelly was no show aaaaaaagain. No phone call. No message. No nothing.
I was pissed ... to say the least. Instead of letting it simmer on the back burner I decided, for once, to let a wanker know exactly how I felt about their behaviour.
"Well, don't I just feel special! Twice, YOU have requested I set time aside for you and twice, YOU have ignorantly left me hanging. Do you have any idea what it takes for a working farmer to schedule time out of hectic work day on a farm? Based on your behaviour, I'm guessing you don't or don't care. I was willing to let the first time slide because you at least notified me, AFTER the fact. What you don't realize is the farming community is small and farmers talk to each other so I'll be spreading the word. Lose my number and never contact me again. And yes, you are one of "those people"."
While sending this message won't garner me a sale, it sure as hell felt good to let this ignorant person know how I felt about their craptastic behaviour. The moral of this story is folks, I suggest you not do business with "Kelly" if he or she decides to contact you regarding buying some of your livestock.

You often hear the terms hardy, calm and sweet used to describe this breed. Our Saanens are no exception. They are well socialized and have attended several events to educate the public. These Saanens are also from a closed working herd with 70+ year old bloodlines, which originated in Switzerland. The herd has an excellent overall health record.
While we would love to keep all of our beautiful Saanen goats, we also realize the importance of preserving these heritage bloodlines and regularly offer our animals to other farmers to preserve them. The herd comes with lifetime support and we offer mentorship in husbandry, milking practices and animal health. We want you to succeed and help is just a phone call away.
Please ensure you have proper fencing and shelter in place prior to purchasing one of our Saanens. We do not sell animals to unprepared homes or as "lawn mowers" to be tethered.
