My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. We will discuss: Structure (Form), Harmony, Melody, Counterpoint, Sight-reading and Improvisation while meeting the technical demands of instrument.
Each lesson will be 30 - 45 minutes with the option to have the lesson at your location/home. My rates are fair and negotiable. We all have our lives and circumstances going on; it's okay. Hello, we are running a 12 week beginner TRAVEL Spanish as well as a 12 week intermediate/advanced Spanish course the second week of January 2025. There will be both an online class as well as a class purely in person for both levels. Class once per week in the weekday evening or Saturday mornings. Cost per person $420 paid in advance. This is not your average Spanish class. Arrive ready to have fun but focus. The classes come with free conversational gatherings on Thursdays 7-8:30pm and free online convo class Monday evenings 7:30-8:30pm. Two people is enough people to run a class but four is best. At Verellen Music Academy we offer expert instruction in Early Childhood music classes. Miss. Jacqui holds credentials in Child Developmental Psychology and an Honours Degree in Opera and this has allowed for her programs to be designed with developmental phases in mind. Jacqui has worked extensively with over 300 students under the age of 7, and has designed and taught curriculum for many other schools before opening Verellen Music Academy. Our program for young children, Music Munchkins, was designed for children ages 3-4 years of age and is the preliminary requirement for our second level class, Rhythm Rugrats. The curriculum is designed to prepare young children for private instruction through an array of learning and fun! Throughout the program, students learn the basics of theory, explore various instruments to discover which ones they favour, do listening and dancing exercises and learn solfege and theory, all while creating lasting friendships with their peers. Each semester, students graduate and take home a certification to frame, as follows:

Term 2 - Blue level
Rhythm Rugrats:
Term 1 - Gold level
Term 2 - Rainbow level
Graduates of both Music Munchkins and then the following Rhythm Rugrats program, are then ready to move into private instruction with one of our Early Childhood private instructors.
