Project dates: January 21 - January 31, 2019 The volunteer activities include: ⢠Raising awareness through campaigns for recycling and reusing waste. ⢠Building a room with natural materials. ⢠Environmental education workshops for children, youth and adults. ⢠Cultural and educational activities will be held in the central plaza of Cochabamba in the evening. The project takes place in an Intercultural and language learning center in Songkhla where Thai locals come to learn and share with international volunteer. Their main purpose is practicing English by making conversation, doing activities together as informal learning, or learning to speak in daily life. Language teaching in Thailand focuses more on grammar rather than using language in daily life (speaking and listening). Therefore Thai people knew grammar well but cannot speak because they never do it. Volunteers will be given the opportunity to teach English by communication to Thai locals, as well as exchanging volunteer's culture and language. On Saturday, there are students coming for exchange classes (practicing English by making conversation, doing activities together as informal learning, or learning to speak in daily life). Volunteers will also have the chance to go to schools as teacher's assistant, teaching English to students in Thai local schools. Duration of the project: 1 to 12 months More info at: http://cadip.org/volunteering-in-thailand

With Kate&Tao you can host French teenagers for short or long periods. They come to Canada to share your daily life and improve their English through interaction (they are not part of a study program, they will not have classes). We are looking for available, caring and open-minded families to join our project. How does it work? After an interview with our team, we create for you an online profile on kateandtao.com (feel free to have a look at the existing profiles), so that teenagers can choose you based on the interests you share. This is a way to ensure a good matching between the guest and the family. Teenagers apply, then we discuss all the details together to organize the stay. The financial compensation is fair (CAD 75 per hosting night). More importantly, you can take part in a great human experience! Please contact us directly at show contact info (please do not respond via Craisglist).
