Winnipeg RISE Ambassador (Recruiting Volunteers)
Description
Do you want to create change in your community? Connect with other young people and other community organizations in your city? We got you!
RISE is designed for young people with little to no previous experience in volunteering. We mean it! You don’t need to have ANY previous experience. You will be supported by RISE as we provide you with all the workshops, skill-building opportunities, mentorship, and most importantly, funding to make your cohorts project a success!
During 22 weeks as Ambassadors, you will develop new skills (Project management, collective decision-making, team building, budgeting, research, etc.), learn about community engagement, and develop a project on a theme that matters to you. You will also have access to mentors and various workshops during the program.
The theme for COHORT 12 is Resilient Cities. From accessibility to arts, infrastructure, and green spaces to civic engagement, resilient cities are about developing spaces, activities, and initiatives that can lead local communities to thrive.
If you’re aged between 18 to 30, this is your chance to learn about community work, build confidence and make new connections in a supportive environment.
