4 season cottage on Bain Lake (also known as Clear Lake) in Field (West Nipissing Municipality). Great Lake for fishing (small mouth bass/pickerel/pike), water sports or just for relaxing on the dock or at the beautiful public beach. Crown land adjacent to the lakeside is great for ATVing, hunting, snowmobiling or hiking. This is truly a northern escape to relax and rejuvenate. Sleeps 10 - bedding and kitchen supplies provided, with barbecue (excluding propane), wifi, water-trampoline, 5 person paddleboat and washing machine (with outside clothes line for drying). Patio dinning set that seats 6 with an additional picnic table for added outdoor seating. In addition, there is a private outdoor shower which is great to use when the in house shower is in use or after going for a swim in the lake.
Nightly rate is $275 with a 10% discount applied for weekly bookings. Weekly bookings are preferred during ‘high season’ (May 15th - Sept 11th) however weekend requests will be considered. Full propane tank for use with barbecue is $45.00 extra. Wood for fire pit may be delivered to cottage at an extra charge of $20.00/per wheel barrel.

Off the grid comfort, quiet chalet with detached guest shack, almost completely deserted lake, the cottage has solar power with electric refrigerator, propane gas hot water and stove. Gas heat is also available for colder spring and fall months.
Now with a wood fired SAUNA.
Master bedroom in main house has a sink and toilet and a cast iron bathtub overlooking the lake. The guest shack has a queen and a double bed. Guests use the main house ground floor bathroom, with inside and outside showers.
This 3 season lake front cottage is at the end of a kilometre long dirt road. You'll find a 1000 sq foot open space with a dinning area, living room and Kitchen. On the second floor there’s a king size bed and 2 single beds, a toilet and vanity with cast iron bathtub.
On the ground floor Theres a cast iron air tight stove for colder evenings and an old style stone fireplace. In the kitchen you'll find a wood oven as well. No need to take wood out if you are not comfortable with that, theres gas heaters and a gas stove as well. Despite being powered by solar panels, the are lights everywhere, just like a normal house, an electric refrigerator, and a filter coffee machine. Theres enough power for laptops and television (please note that no wifi or TV on site).
The guest shack has 2 beds , a queen size on the ground floor and a double on the mezzanine.
Guest have access to Both dwellings, the wood fired Sauna, the canoe, Pedalo, Stand Up Paddleboard , 2 kayaks and BBQ.

Welcome to your lakeside getaway! Here are some instructions that will help with your orientation to the cabin. The cabin being waterfront is very close to the water table and as such the septic system is sensitive and cannot tolerate things like feminine hygiene products, diapers, paper towels, and in short nothing that did not previously go through the human digestive system! Use only septic safe toilet paper as provided. Similarly water consumption is also a factor and to help protect the environment and conserve resources water saving fixtures are used. Heron Haven does NOT have laundry facilities, yet there is a good, clean laundromat in the nearby village of Port Rowan 5-10 min drive.
Please note, the water is treated with chlorine yet it is NOT suitable for human drinking due to the unpleasant chlorine taste. Tap water is fine for pets and other purposes including cooking, toothbrushing and dishwashing. Bottled water starter kit is provided for drinking and may also be used for toothbrushing if desired. The large format bottled water jugs are available at the local Lily Mart in Saint Williams as are 24 packs of the half liter bottled water if you prefer the smaller format. Lily Mart is the closest grocer (190 Townline St, St. Williams) and purveyors of general items, food, snacks, some hardware, beer wine and liquor. Beside Lily Mart on its east side is a takeout food trailer, look for the white canopy. They sell burgers, fries and similar fast food items.The bedroom air conditioner is set to run continuously so it keeps up with cooling the building. Please leave the bedroom door open when privacy isn't needed ; ) to help keep the hallway kitchen and living room cool as well. Keeping the front entry/ back exit wooden doors closed will also increase AC efficiency and comfort level.
Please be aware that watersports rentals are located in nearby Turkey Point for PWC / Waverunners / Jetskis / Water Jet Flyboard or any other type of motorized watercraft that is under 20 feet in overall length. Hilltop Lodge Marina does not allow any PWC or such equipment on the premises due to insurance reasons. We do offer boat slip rentals for any watercraft up to 25 feet length, so please feel free to inquire about your fishing boat, water ski boat or sailboat. Centerboard and daggerboard shoal draft sailboats are always welcome. Transient slip fees are subject to change without notice, so please inquire with the office prior to your arrival.
