Major Responsibilities:
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
- Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order
- Maintain work area appearance and safety
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
- Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Adjust and replace brake, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
- Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
- Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
- Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions and differentials, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components etc.

Qualifications:
- 5 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required
- Must possess respective Provincial License such as Red Seal/310T
- Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
- Current driver's license class D or class 3 with air brake certification required or ability to obtain it within 6 months of being hired
- Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools) required
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses preferred

Responsibilities
Take an active role in the manufacturing systems by:
-Maintaining, upgrading, and repairing plant equipment to ensure a high level of performance with minimal downtime.

Millwright ticket (journeyman or Red Seal) with maintenance experience (manufacturing or fabrication)
Experience in Hydraulics and pneumatics

Specialize in the upkeep and repair of manufacturing equipment such as: pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

You will possess a Journeyperson or red seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification. You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills to the team.

They are seeking a Level 2 Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician who has experience in inspecting mobile and lifting equipment. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role will be responsible for a wide variety of non-destructive testing methods to detect discontinuities in objects of various compositions and materials on their job sites. Our client actively participates with the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR) to support a strong workforce.

Requirements:
Must be able to travel internationally approximately 60%-80% of the time depending on where you are located.
Preference will be given to candidates that have experience in inspecting Mobile and Lifting equipment.
Preference will be given to candidates that hold valid API certification.
Experience using NDT techniques, procedures, and equipment in heavy industry environment.
Mining experience is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to perform inspections and to interpret results.
Knowledge of applicable industrial codes and standards.
Mechanically inclined.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Valid passport and driver’s license with abstract.
Only those holding current valid CGSB certifications will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform various Non-Destructive Tests to ensure quality and/or detect defects using various NDT methods in diverse settings that include all operating areas of the site.
Record and evaluate inspection results.
Ability to select the NDT method and technique for a specific inspection, prepare and verify the adequacy of procedures.
Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
Produce accurate, timely reports based on customer needs.
Other duties as required.
Working Conditions:
Travel is required, must be able to access an airport.
Medical, drug & alcohol testing plus a full criminal background check may be required.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Overtime and weekend work as required.
Work both indoors and outdoors.
Physical ability to lift to 75lb.
Will be required to work in mining, plant environments using PPE.
Valid passport and the ability to obtain work visas.
