The studio has a great collection of microphones for any application. The flagship Telefunken ELA-251 M has an incredible sonic presence and is known as “THE VOCAL MIC”. Then there is the Neumann U-87 ai that sounds great on anything. The Neumann TLM 103 and two Neumann KM-184's are all fine microphones. Two vintage (1970's) Sennheiser MD 421s, the AKG 112 D, and the usual Shure SM57s all sound great on the drum kit.

I am looking to form a band or few, which can be big-ish or small.I have a diverse taste in music, and so I am willing to delve into several ideas for genres. I would like to focus on metal/alt (Knocked Loose, Gojira, Thornhill, Turnstile, Loathe, Currents, Basement, Every Time I Die...), broadly RnB or Indie ( Hiatus Kaiyote, Anderson .Paak/Free nationals, Khruangbin..) or whatever you might want to experiment with! The crazier the idea the better. >:)
I play drums, piano/keys, guitar, bass, and starting vocals. I definitely bias towards metal or jazzy Rnb genre/songs, but I am quite open to what works in the setting.
I am looking for people who want to take this rather seriously, but still have fun and have shows in the future in mind.

We're a 4 piece rock band (late 20s and early 30s) looking for an experienced keys player with their own gear and preferably the ability to switch between piano, e-piano, organ, and synth when appropriate.
We are currently playing covers of a wide range of rock music from the last 40 years or so. Originals are slowly being introduced. We've been playing for about 9 months, so it isn't exactly a start up operation.
The ability to adapt to key changes and learning by ear is definitely an asset, but we are able to assist with chords etc…
Vocal ability desirable, but not essential.
Beginners need not apply.
Jam Space is in Rideau Heights. We practice once a week, usually on Sundays. Aiming to play Homegrown this May.

I have been playing drums for over 20 years. During that time, I've been fortunate to tour Canada and record a number of albums.
Over the last couple of years, I have started working as a session drummer, creating both programmed drum tracks and recording acoustic drum tracks. I find myself working mainly on rock/hard rock, pop, folk, singer-songwriter styles of music.

My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. I am 47 and married with young kids. I work (non-music) full time and music is a passion. I love to write songs, perform live, and record/release. I played a dozen shows in 2023, mostly solo. I released an album and 3 singles as well, and plan to release more in 2024 and beyond.

We do mostly my own original songs with a few covers thrown in. I sing lead vocals and play acoustic guitar, and I have a bassist and a backup singer that often play with me as well. We are talking about setting up a monthly rehearsal in 2024.I am targeting 10-20 shows for 2024, and I generally like to ensure everyone makes at least 100-150 per show. But I am not really in it to make money, or play corporate gigs or 3 hour cover sets. I like shows with a crowd that is musically engaged in venues that are fun to play and open to sets of original music.
About you
Ideal instruments to add would be things like drums, keys, lead guitar (country roots sounds), steel guitar, banjo, etc. Age doesn’t matter, just maturity.You should have a positive attitude and be easy-going (no drama or politics), and have your own equipment and transport. You should be about the same or better skill level as the rest of us (see link to live set above). If you want to sing some harmonies and are capable, that is great too. Obviously, you should also enjoy the same genres of music listed above.

59 year old drummer looking for Jazz ensemble. Also could be a larger big band setting however I read drum notation but not charts as of yet.
