my father in law has gone through hell and back recently and now our family could really use help in this extremely difficult time he has a lengthy list of medical problems including diabetes, he also has something wrong in his back which causes him to not be able to feel his feet or really any pain that isn’t serious so this past year he cut his head and it got very badly infected from the diabetes and other medical issues fighting against him he was having to get the infection drained and there was lots of tests ran and come to find out he had a form of skin cancer he did receive some treatment for it but there was nothing more as of yet as a lot of you know our health care system is an absolute nightmare lately while he was dealing with this he stepped on a nail and had no idea for weeks and got this nasty infection in his foot after many weeks ups and downs he had to get his foot amputated. I’m looking for help to get him home from the hospital they won’t allow him to come home without a wheelchair ramp being built and proper hand railings installed in the house, we were quoted at 10,000 for the deck alone. If anyone could help or would be willing to help we would be forever grateful it would mean the world to our family. We have a go fund me page set up and also we will be doing various fundraisers to save money, if you’d like to contribute anything please reach out. Thank you so much for your time.

We learn and improve skills when we practice them. Practice can be done by physically repeating the task or by imagining task performance using a process called motor imagery (MI). Some of the evidence supporting motor imagery as a method for learning and practicing skills is that practice using motor imagery leads to the improved performance of a skill compared to no practice at all.
However, we are not sure how learning and practicing using motor imagery works and if the type of motor skill matters. It could be that certain motor skills are more effectively learned using motor imagery than other motor skills are. Luckily, brain activity can be measured and there is evidence to support that higher levels of measured brain activity suggest more motor learning is occurring and lower levels of measured brain activity mean less motor learning is occurring. The purpose of the current study is to examine if brain activity differs between different types of motor tasks when performing motor imagery. The information gathered in this study will further our understanding of how we learn motor skills and will help us design better training programs for sports, work skills, and rehabilitation.

If you are, then we would invite you to a testing session on videoconference where you would complete mental health interviews, surveys, and tasks that measure memory and thinking. Volunteer in Sólheimar, Iceland‘s first and only eco-village, located in southwest Iceland, east of Reykjavík. The heart of the Sólheimar ideology is to give all individuals a fair chance and to maximize their potential. By focusing on individuals' abilities instead of their limitations, Sólheimar aims to create the space for each resident to take every opportunity that arises for each person to grow and develop. Versatility is the strength of Sólheimar so people with special needs that reside here will always be the center of the community. This works through the idea of reverse integration: those without special needs adapt to the abilities of those who do, they can work together to make their community an equal and sustainable one. The foundation of the ideology of Sólheimar derives from the visions and lifework of Sesselja herself.
Sólheimar is a pioneer in practicing organic farming. In Sólheimar, there is an organically certified greenhouse, forestry, and arboretum. Other environmentally-friendly projects in Sólheimar include geothermal energy and recycling.
The main work in this project will be in the forestry, called Ölur, and also in the greenhouses, which are called Sunna. Volunteers will work in the greenhouses, planting and harvesting vegetables, weed control and sometimes gardening. The work may also include painting or fixing things around the property. During the winter, volunteers will help remove the snow and keep the walkways clear.

The volunteers will be working again with the Reykjavík municipality in two of the main skiing and recreational areas in the capital region of Iceland, Bláfjöll (or the Blue Mountains) and Skálafell.
In Skálafell, the ski slopes are turned into a Bike park during summertime and mountain bike enthusiasts can nourish their passion. The main tasks will include renovation and maintenance work on the bike trails; mainly raking and scraping them up. Other possible tasks may be related to general cleaning of the area.
In the Blue Mountains, the main tasks will be maintaining the slopes and preparing them for the next ski season. The city and a few sports associations run lodges and mountain huts there and they might also need some renovation work, such as painting and/or cleaning.
The working plan is flexible and it will depend on the needs of our local host. Volunteers need to be motivated to work mainly outdoors on physical jobs and under changing weather conditions.
The project happens around the summer solstice, when the sun hardly sets and the nights are almost as bright as the days. The bright nights are magical and staying awake enjoying the surroundings is a unique experience. During the time of the project, participants will have the opportunity to experience the midnight sun as there are 24 hours of light even if the sun sets for shorts periods of time.

June 18 - June 28, 2023

In this project, volunteers will support a fishing community to protect, preserve and plant more mangrove forests, and improve the income generation opportunities for local fishermen. International volunteers have been nursing and planting more than 50,000 mangroves every year. The presence of volunteers has also enabled the community to become a very attractive eco-tourism site since 2014. It attracts thousands of tourists every year, so besides earning from fishing, local people are now also providing services for tourists to generate more income.
The project welcomes individuals who are passionate about the environment and hands-on conservation work. Volunteers will be working as active promoters of environmental and sea life preservation, and enjoying the natural environment at the same time.
Volunteers' main tasks will be organizing workshops with local people to promote the importance of mangrove forests to people, collecting mangrove seeds, seedlings, and planting mangroves in a protected area while maintaining the already planted mangroves.
