Do you take care of a child with 22q11 Deletion Syndrome?
We are starting a large study with the goal of involving 500 families living with 22q11DS. Specifically, we want to learn how patients and their families are feeling and what costs they experience while caring for a child diagnosed with 22q11DS. We will invite the families who are not doing well to test a novel online intervention that we designed to support the families. We hope that this novel online intervention can be a new accessible tool to further help families/caregivers raising a child with 22q11DS.
Please participate in our study if you meet the following criteria:
Are 18 years of age or older

Note: This is an unpaid training and we do not offer jobs
The leading colleges charge thousands of dollars for providing the tuition for Medical Office Administrator or Health Office Administrator course. Most courses have a requirement to complete an externship – where the candidates have to complete an unpaid placement of 8 weeks in order for them to earn their diploma. Having completed the course does not guarantee a job and candidates often times end up in professions completely unrelated to their field of study, purely because they are unable to secure jobs in their field of study. The reason is simple, employers need candidates who can do the job from day 1 and be good at it and not the candidate who have only the bookish knowledge and even that is often not how the things are working in the offices.
We provide a completely free of cost training program at our clinic. This will be an on-job training. This training will equip the candidates with below skills that are required for a Medical Office Secretary:
Familiarizing with the secretarial/front-desk duties
Receiving and booking patients
Basic understanding of patient triage (which is way more than what candidates would get in a college)
Hands-on training and use of Electronic Medical Records Software
Dealing with patient’s records
Understanding of medical reports and records
Patient chart structure and its filing
Interacting with the Physician and medical staff
Patient interactions
Conflict resolution
Patient calls
Basic OHIP billingThe above is not an exhaustive list and there will be more learning opportunities. Successful candidate completing the full training will get a certificate confirming their attendance/training and a reference from the Clinic.
We are a family physician’s practice that has been established for over 40 years and is currently being run by young and experienced female physician with wealth of experience gained from working in multiple countries/jurisdictions. The Electronic Medical Records system used is TELUS PS Suite, which is one of the most commonly used systems. The Physician/ clinic are part of a group of twelve physicians who work collaboratively in a FHO group. As such the working practices established at this clinic are in line with the industry standards.
Due to our outstanding professionally experienced staff, it is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to get familiar with office/working practices within a family physician’s office. The office is currently going through the process of converting paper based patient records into electronic patient records in the EMR software. This has created an opportunity to work on live patient data and utilize the EMR portal at expert level. Full training, support and supervision will be provided to support the candidate throughout the placement.
What do you need to complete this training:
• An eager and enthusiastic candidate who will is keen to advance their career and does not shy away from work
• An education equivalent to 12th grade (Canadian or overseas)
• A commitment to attend the office full-time (weekdays only) for the duration of training which will last 8 /12 weeks (Exact duration will be discussed with the candidate and will depend on the candidate's ability. How to apply:
Please reply to this post providing your most up to date resume and a phone number to contact you on.
Please also explain, how will you manage the time commitment of being available during the week.

In this project, volunteers will support a fishing community to protect, preserve and plant more mangrove forests, and improve the income generation opportunities for local fishermen. International volunteers have been nursing and planting more than 50,000 mangroves every year. The presence of volunteers has also enabled the community to become a very attractive eco-tourism site since 2014. It attracts thousands of tourists every year, so besides earning from fishing, local people are now also providing services for tourists to generate more income.
The project welcomes individuals who are passionate about the environment and hands-on conservation work. Volunteers will be working as active promoters of environmental and sea life preservation, and enjoying the natural environment at the same time.
Volunteers' main tasks will be organizing workshops with local people to promote the importance of mangrove forests to people, collecting mangrove seeds, seedlings, and planting mangroves in a protected area while maintaining the already planted mangroves.

Maintaining the natural landscape of Oued el Kanar
Oued el Kanar valley is in the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains. It is considered a highly preserved valley due to its nature and the traditional way of living of the local people. The project was established by members of the local community with the aim to raise environmental awareness. Its major focus is on mitigation of the effects of climate change and fostering intercultural education among the local community. The project is based in Ouad Kanar village in the north of Morocco, close to Chefchaouane and Tetouan. It is situated 90 km from Chefchaouane city, in an area that is famed for its cultural diversity. The volunteers will be hosted in a hostel and will be able to experience the cultural diversity and learn to live with and interact with members of the host community in an atmosphere of cooperation and solidarity. This project has hosted previously both local and international volunteers and it has great potential for replicating its activities in equally challenging circumstances in other regions of Morocco.

Carleton University Project Clearance
Clearance #: 117926 Date of Clearance: November 28, 2022
Volunteers needed for Couples Intimacy Study
We are looking for volunteers for a study examining physiological arousal during romantic couples’ conversations about sexual or relationship intimacy. Specifically, we want to examine differences in the quality of physiological arousal people exhibit when they discuss positive aspects of either sexual or relationship intimacy. Participants will receive an honorarium of $20.00 cash for participating and reimbursement for parking or bus fare, if needed. The study takes place at the Carleton University Social Psychophysiology (CUSP) Lab (Rooms A501 and A507 of the Loeb Building).
First, you will be asked to complete a brief online questionnaire to determine your eligibility to participate. Couples who are eligible will be asked to complete additional online surveys about their demographics, personality traits, and other related questions. Then, couples will come into our lab to talk about sexual or relationship intimacy while we continuously record their heart rate, thoracic blood flow, blood pressure, respiration rate, and electrodermal activity. Participants will be audio-recorded as they complete the study. We will also ask participants to complete questionnaires about their health and personal and relationship well-being. After discussing sexual or relationship intimacy participants will sit for a physiological recovery period. They will then be debriefed and compensated.
To ensure accurate physiological readings, if possible, please refrain from consuming any stimulants or depressants in the 24 hours prior to coming to our lab (i.e., alcohol, caffeine, marijuana, nicotine, or other controlled substances). At least 4 hours prior to the start of the session, please refrain from engaging in any physical exercise.
Please note: Electrode placement requires that experimenters come into physical contact with participants, and, in most cases, participants will be required to adjust or remove their outer clothing during electrode placement. We kindly ask that participants do not wear dresses, skirts, or shirts with large collars (e.g., turtleneck sweaters). This will ensure both maximum comfort for the participant and will ensure that we can collect high-quality data. Should a participant choose to remove their outer clothing for any of the above reasons, they will be offered a hairdresser’s apron to wear to ensure their privacy. At no point will a participant be asked to remove their undergarments.
To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, in a romantic relationship of six months or longer, and both partners of that relationship will need to consent to participate in the study together. Recruitment will allow for the inclusion of both heteronormative and same-sex couples. Given that this is a psychophysiological study, there are some eligibility requirements that apply: (1) they must not have been diagnosed with a cardiovascular disease such as hypertension or a heart murmur; (2) they must not have a pacemaker; and (3) they must not be pregnant or think they might be pregnant.
The study will take place on campus at Carleton University (Loeb Building, rooms A501 and A507) and should take approximately 2 hours to complete.
If you are interested, please email sexpositivestudy@protonmail.com for more details on participating.
This research has been cleared by Carleton University Research Ethics Board B Clearance # 117926.
Should you have any ethical concerns with the study, please contact the REB Chair, Carleton University Research Ethics Board-B (by phone: 613-520-2600 ext. 4085 or by email: ethics@carleton.ca). For all other questions about the study, please contact the researcher.

Bonjour,

Study title: Remembering the past, imagining the future, and personal thoughts in PTSD
We are recruiting 35-50 people with a current PTSD diagnosis for a virtual research study on memory and thinking run at Toronto Metropolitan University. We are looking for folks who experienced a traumatic event in the past 1-5 years; meaning that at least 1 year has passed since the event but that it took place in the past 5 years. We will compare this to 35-50 people who experienced a trauma but do not have PTSD.
Participating in this study first involves a brief telephone interview to see if you are eligible. If you are, then we would invite you to a testing session on videoconference where you would complete mental health interviews, surveys, and tasks that measure memory and thinking. If we invite you to participate, this session will last between 2 and 2.5 hours and you will receive up to $50 for your time.
To be eligible for this study, you should be:
- Between the ages of 30-65
- Have current PTSD
- Free of major neurological conditions
- Free of diagnoses on the psychosis spectrum, free of bipolar disorder, and not have severe difficulties with current substance useIf you want to learn more about the study, please email the student principal investigator, Kesia Courtenay, at kesia.courtenay@torontomu.ca or call 416-979-5000 ext 552192.

Hello,
I am an author and I can introduce 4 people to register on a website to pick up free books and write reviews on Amazon. By doing so, you help others learn about a good book and help authors to be known; I can also get some points which help me to have more access to the website service for authors. The process is easy, you register on the website, then go to the "Dashboard" and choose the "Free book" option on the top of the page. Books are in PDF or ePub format and you can select which format you prefer.Books are in different genres and they might be as few as 1000 words. There are also children's books, coloring books, and,... to pick from and review on Amazon. It's better to use the browser of a desktop or laptop to see the website features fully. When you choose a book, on the book page, you click on "DOWNLOAD BOOK" to download the book, and after reading the book, you click on "VIEW ON AMAZON" to review the book on Amazon. When you click on "VIEW ON AMAZON" the link to the book page is copied, so you should paste it on the address bar of your internet browser to go to the book page. Make sure to change the .com to .ca on the address bar so you go to the page book on Amazon.ca where you can write the review.
I can invite only 4 people to register on the website to have access to the free book for review. If you are an avid reader and want seriously to help authors, please contact me then I'll send you the link. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
Regards

2 weeks volunteering in Sólheimar, Iceland‘s first and only eco-village. The heart of the Sólheimar ideology is to give all individuals a fair chance and to maximize their potential. By focusing on individuals' abilities instead of their limitations, Sólheimar aims to create the space for each resident to take every opportunity that arises for each person to grow and develop. Versatility is the strength of Sólheimar so people with special needs that reside here will always be the center of the community. This works through the idea of reverse integration: those without special needs adapt to the abilities of those who do, they can work together to make their community an equal and sustainable one. The foundation of the ideology of Sólheimar derives from the visions and lifework of Sesselja herself.
Sólheimar is a pioneer in practicing organic farming. In Sólheimar, there is an organically certified greenhouse, forestry, and arboretum. Other environmentally-friendly projects in Sólheimar include geothermal energy and recycling.
The main work in this international volunteer project will be in forestry called Ölur and also in the greenhouses which are called Sunna. Volunteers will be working in the greenhouses planting and harvesting vegetables, doing weed control and sometimes you will also be gardening. The work might involve work around the property, painting or fixing things. During the winter, volunteers will also have to help remove snow and keep the walk paths clear for the residents.Project dates:
