I am an adult male with a physical disability seeking a dependable person to assist with personal care on Wednesday mornings. This shift requires assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, bowel/bladder care, etc. While some sort of previous personal care experience is nice, it is NOT a requirement. The shift can start anytime between 6 AM and 7:30 AM (I’m flexible) and is on average 3 hours per week.
Please note that while everyone is welcome to apply, I am 6'2" tall, and history has shown me that individuals under 5'7" tall have a very difficult time adjusting me in my wheelchair due to the height of the wheelchair. This is not so much an issue of strength as it is an issue of height as you need to be able to stand behind the tall back of my wheelchair to help position me.
I am an avid traveler, so there will also be occasional all-expense-paid working-travel opportunities (strictly optional). If you have the ability to get away for a week or 2 once or twice a year, this is a huge bonus (but not a requirement).
Thanks!
