The MILITAIRES BRASS AND PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE formed in 2006 and based in NIAGARA FALLS are seeking experienced TRUMPET players for 2024. We take part in parades,local festivals and ,community events around the Niagara Region.

Our group plays a wide range of popular professionally arranged music that gets the crowds dancing and singing along! Looking to start or join a hard rock band for writing, performing, and recording (on a budget) original hard rock music. My main priority is artistic expression; writing and performing original music. We would also do limited, high quality covers to round out our set and keep the crowd entertained.
I have a drummer but we have been having a heck of a time finding a guitarist and vocalist. We are in our late 40s and looking for bandmates 30+
I play bass and contribute backing vocals. I mainly write on guitar.
I would like to find other folks with similar goals/ambitions, musical tastes, and availability, so please read the following and let me know if you think we match up well:
Goals:
I enjoy writing my own songs and contributing to writing and arranging others’ original compositions as well. I would place a high emphasis on other members contributing original ideas/songs as well.
I’d like to work toward eventually playing 1-2 gigs/month. Practices until then would ideally be 1x week.
We have some contacts in the industry and will be able to book gigs once the band is up and running.

I have a jam space with a modest PA at my place in midtown St. Catharines that we can use during my availability until about 8 or 9 PM. I’m able to meet later than that if we end up jamming elsewhere.
We are based in Niagara and would prefer same in potential bandmates. I don’t really want to travel outside Niagara for frequent practices.
Having your own equipment and reliable transportation would be helpful.

I am looking to form a band. I am a singer/ songwriter currently going to school for Music Business. I am interested in performing, and forming a band has always been a dream of mine. I am not a strong guitar player, so I would want to be a lead singer, or back up singer. Open to any other instrument style. Looking for drummer, bassist and guitar players. I live in Oshawa. I do not currently have a place of practice, so all of this would have to be figured out as we go along.
If anyone has any experience and wants to start a band, that would be so helpful. I am in my first year of my program, and still a lot to learn. Knowledge of how to run a band, or experience being in one would be helpful. Otherwise, I do not mind taking the lead as I go.
I enjoy a lot of soul pop, and pop type music. However, I also love alternative, punk, rock, folk and metal as well. Open to play around with covers, or write our own content as well.

The Isosceles Project is looking for a drummer and bass player. I live around Hamilton Ontario but I have wheels. I'm comfortable commuting around an hour or so to practice with the right people. Looking for people who are into a wide breadth of music from metal to prog rock to synthy stuff to psychedelia to post metal to doomy sludge to funky riffs and everything in between, but generally the music leans to the darker side of things, but there is sometimes light at the end of the tunnel.
Some of my fav bands are The Mars Volta, Elder, Earthless, Brutus, Isis, Thrice, Opeth, Tobacco, Spotlights, Drab Majesty, Emma Ruth Rundle, Captain Beyond, Oranzi Pazuzu, Surprise Chef, Soundgarden, Patrick Cowley, indian, Fever Dog, Black Water Holy Light, Colour Haze, Bummer, Deaf Heaven, Mild Life, New Ghengis Tron, Dvne, Rezn, Wobbler, Motor Psycho.
Even though I love a lot of bands that have vocals, this band is instrumental.
Looking for drummers and bass players who have fairly developed chops, preferably from a metal background and upbringing. This is a proggy band with long songs, weird meters, tempo changes, and lots of riffs. We lean into meaty riffs a lot more than solos. I'm not a virtuso guitar player by any means, but I take pride in big riffs and playing with a lot of dynamic. I don't care if you play bass with your fingers or a pick.
Looking for people who are reliable, experienced, chill, and people who are into jamming weeklyish give or take, atleast until we have a set locked in. You should probably have Pro-ish gear. I'm a relaxed person. I don't mind if it's a slow burn as long as its a consistent one. Looking to make friends and for this to be fun.
I don't want this band to take over anyone's life, but I would like to share it with people who want it to be part of theirs.
There will be a bit of older material but mostly new material for the live set to start, but the ultimate goal would be to find people who are interested in collaborating and writing together. While I have a new record mostly done that I’ve been sitting on, I’d rather only tackle a few of those so it’ll be faster to move onto new stuff together.
