I inherited an extensive library of great classical music recordings and have a Thorens turntable, NAD CD player, Quad electrostatic speakers, and a Bose bluetooth speaker. We're a 4 piece rock band (late 20s and early 30s) looking for an experienced keys player with their own gear and preferably the ability to switch between piano, e-piano, organ, and synth when appropriate.
We are currently playing covers of a wide range of rock music from the last 40 years or so. Originals are slowly being introduced. We've been playing for about 9 months, so it isn't exactly a start up operation.
The ability to adapt to key changes and learning by ear is definitely an asset, but we are able to assist with chords etc…
Vocal ability desirable, but not essential.
Beginners need not apply.
Jam Space is in Rideau Heights. We practice once a week, usually on Sundays. Aiming to play Homegrown this May.

I am looking to form a band or few, which can be big-ish or small.I have a diverse taste in music, and so I am willing to delve into several ideas for genres. I would like to focus on metal/alt (Knocked Loose, Gojira, Thornhill, Turnstile, Loathe, Currents, Basement, Every Time I Die...), broadly RnB or Indie ( Hiatus Kaiyote, Anderson .Paak/Free nationals, Khruangbin..) or whatever you might want to experiment with! The crazier the idea the better. >:)
I play drums, piano/keys, guitar, bass, and starting vocals. I definitely bias towards metal or jazzy Rnb genre/songs, but I am quite open to what works in the setting.

Over the last couple of years, I have started working as a session drummer, creating both programmed drum tracks and recording acoustic drum tracks. I find myself working mainly on rock/hard rock, pop, folk, singer-songwriter styles of music.

Seeking a drummer to fill out a 4 piece within a reasonable driving distance to (or from) north Durham/ Kawartha Lakes. The guitarist (me), bassist and singer are 50'ish and have started to rehearse a dozen tunes, getting ready for more!

30yr old male bassist looking to put together a British covers/tribute band.
The aim is to evolve a set list & band that plays British rock/pop. My own personal influences are 60s mod & 90s Britpop, but it would be nice to play a wide variety on the British theme, so I’m open to all suggestions (literally)!
Looking to have a laugh as a Brit who’s recently moved here with previous weddings band experience in England. Practise a bit, commit to a democratically chosen set list, then proceed to play a couple of pubs to see how it goes down live.
Really not looking for egos, rulers, or those looking to break the world with originality. Simply a pub covers band, whose members have a laugh whilst playing a few British tunes.
I believe there to be a niche market for this category of band if the wheels were ever to start rolling… I am confident pub gigs would not be hard to come by for a cohesive outfit.
Song choice should not pose a problem given the cannon to choose from, and the openness of members.

My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums.
