Have you ever heard about toastmasters? Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation, regardless, if you are a professional, a student or retired. Toastmasters meetings are a learn-by-doing workshop, enhancing our speaking and leadership skills with NO pressure. There is NO instructor; instead members evaluate one another's presentations. It's a program where you can work and learn at your own pace, on your own time, doing something for yourself. You will practice thinking on your feet for quick answers with mini-impromptu speech skills that are required for interviews or small talk. It’s all done with mentors who allow you to practice & build speaking skills all the while providing a fun, energetic and supportive learning environment. You will gain a lot of confidence during your time in Toastmasters and a lot of new friends. It costs nothing to visit. Email us for the Zoom information. See for yourself what we have to offer you.
Woodland Meetings Every Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. (Virtually)

Years ago, I wrote a murder mystery play. I really got into the characters. By the last scene, I had to decide myself who got murdered and who the murderer was. So now, I'm thinking, in this time of covid, a group of players could get on zoom. And, for $25, I could email each player a pdf file of the play without the last scene. On zoom, the players in the group would have to guess who was murdered and who the murderer was. The captain of the group would then read the last scene. The winner would win the pot that the group had set up for themselves.

Hi, I am Roger, a future professional writer if God, luck and my imagination allow it. I have written several books already but I am still trying to break the ice when it comes to be published. The road is long and painful but retreat is not an option.
I have been working with a friend for some time in the early version of a writers group where we help each other. It would be ideal if we could get more people with writing dreams to join us. We mainly focus in the group in the genres of fantasy, dark fantasy, horror, mystery, science fiction or crossovers between any of those.
Group dynamics:
-we meet once a week and submit at least 4 pages. We make it via email a day or two before so we have time to read it and make notes. -when we meet we discus each other’s work with honesty. We talk about the good, the bad, and the things we could do to fix it. Again, we take notes ahead of time so we don’t forget what we have to say.
Trust me when I tell you, doing this is extremely beneficial if you want to improve your writing. However, you need to leave your ego behind and be receptive. We don’t hold punches and say when something doesn’t work.
As you already might know finding honest feedbacks is priceless when you are learning how to write. The key of this whole thing is consistency. Having a writing group forces you to write in order to deliver every week.
-We usually meet in a coffee shop and discuss what we submitted but skype meeting work too. -We are beginners friendly as long and you are serious and committed. -We are located in Saskatoon but we can work via skype with people from outside the city.
For more info you can text me to my phone.. 306 5526802.
Cheers Roger.
