- Review and understand construction plans and associated drawings

- Performing repairs on-site as they arise, both pre and post-possession
- Coordination & completion of any seasonal deficiencies items

- Responsible for ensuring the project schedule milestones and completion dates are met;

Kings Network Solutions is now hiring a full time, experienced Telecommunications Technician. You will join the team, servicing and installing (telecommunications) cabling technology in oilfield, commercial, residential and hospitality premises.
This position is based out of our office in Fort Saskatchewan (Unit 180, 11602 88 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, T8L 0K1) but projects may occur throughout Alberta.
Description:
This role will be fun, challenging and rewarding. You will be required to adapt to changing work paces as no two weeks are the same! One job might call for a service call at a remote fly-in/fly-out camp, and another may involve some local in-town work. You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including installation of TV, internet and security systems, inspecting and testing equipment and diagnosing the cause of faults, ensuring clients get the right products for their needs and performing maintenance on all major communication service providers' systems.
Previous experience in this type of role is essential.Job Type:

This role is physical and often fast paced, working indoors and outdoors so the need to be fit is a must. You will need to be able to carry, lift and climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, work at heights, lift heavy objects etc.
You will need reliable transportation to get to the office each workday (in Fort Saskatchewan, AB).English language ability required.
You must have the confidence and ability to work independently and/or with minimal supervision after training, and work within scheduled timelines and deadlines.
A criminal record check will be required prior to employment. Due to the nature of some job roles, you may be required to pass last minute drug and alcohol tests.
We require a minimum of four years experience as a telecommunications technician/installer with experience installing, testing, and repairing telecommunications switches and digital networks and trunking systems, and installation, configuration, and repair of cable/satellite television systems.
Minimum of one year experience installing and configuring telecommunications equipment and networks in a hospitality (e.g. hotel, camp accommodations) and/or industrial/commercial facilities.
Applicant must be proficient in DCSS, DCSR, network and satellite failover, network and satellite distribution and network and satellite bonding.
Some experience reading blueprints in the context of network installation required.
Any safety / training tickets already acquired relevant to this role would be an asset (Confined Space, First Aid, WHMIS, Heights/OHSA etc.).
In return for your commitment and flexibility required for this role, we offer great rates of pay, holiday pay, overtime, and the possibility of performance related bonuses.
All tools will be provided. Must have own steel toe boots.
Starting salary will be between $33.55/hr to $35/hr. 90 day probation period.
