Pathways to Independence is seeking an experienced Clinical Therapist to join our Clinical Services Team. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Therapist (CT) works as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to promote client-centered care through individual, couple and group interventions aimed to optimize health, emotional and social outcomes. With a trauma-informed lens, and an emphasis on the Social Determinants of Health, the incumbent will conduct comprehensive assessments of complex adults and will employ a variety of treatment modalities to promote adaptive functioning, inclusion, and psychological resilience. The Clinical Therapist will develop and deliver training and education to employees; evaluate individual and program outcomes; and collaborate with a variety of service providers to improve clinical trajectories. There is a sweet elderly man living in a home down on Hwy 3 south of Merlin. He is extremely sharp and bright and easy to get along and converse with. The Saanich Peninsula Hospital is conveniently located 30 minutes outside of British Columbia’s capital city, Victoria, located on Vancouver Island. The hospital is situated in the Saanich Peninsula, a scenic region known for its natural beauty and coastal landscapes. The hospital serves over 114,000 residents of Saanich, Central Saanich, North Saanich, and surrounding areas, providing essential health care services in this picturesque region.
The District of Saanich lies within the territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples represented by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples represented by the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum and Malahat Nations. (Saanich)

The Role
Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the CRNBC Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
Current, practicing membership with BC College of Nurses and Midwives or the ability to obtain/transfer license to BC. Two years' recent related experience in a clinical setting where relevant nursing skills and theoretical knowledge has been applied.
