Looking for a responsible and caring nanny to join our family in North Vancouver, British Columbia. We have one lovely child in primary school and are in need of a nurturing caregiver to provide part-time care. Our preference is for the nanny to live in, but live-out arrangements will be considered. The role will include providing loving care for the children, as well as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and pet care. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a flexible schedule and be reliable and organized. We are willing to pay up to $20.00 hourly for the right fit.
Presently, we have an au pair with us until end of June, though she is flexible with an earlier departure as we search for our next nanny/au pair. We need before and after school care, if the start date is before end of June - from 7:45-8:45 each morning and then from 2:50-5:00ish each evening. Some days will see after school activities or play dates with friends. Summertime will have day camps most weeks, where we will need support getting our son to and from these camps as they usually run from 9-3 or 4. There will be a week or two where we will be away on vacation where you can have a break of your own.
If a live-in role is right for you, we provide a private bedroom and half bath included in room & board. There is some light housekeeping and meal prep as well as my husband runs his own business and I have a full-time job. We've had two live-in au pairs and it's been a lovely fit for us.

Reporting to the Director of Care or designated clinical leadership team member, the Personal Support Assistant helps with select nursing and personal care tasks in accordance with residents plan of care and, which are within their knowledge and skill, while adhering to regulatory and Reveras standards, policies and procedures.

Pathways to Independence is seeking an experienced Clinical Therapist to join our Clinical Services Team. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Therapist (CT) works as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to promote client-centered care through individual, couple and group interventions aimed to optimize health, emotional and social outcomes. With a trauma-informed lens, and an emphasis on the Social Determinants of Health, the incumbent will conduct comprehensive assessments of complex adults and will employ a variety of treatment modalities to promote adaptive functioning, inclusion, and psychological resilience. The Clinical Therapist will develop and deliver training and education to employees; evaluate individual and program outcomes; and collaborate with a variety of service providers to improve clinical trajectories. The successful incumbent will be responsible for:* Offering a range of professional social work and therapeutic interventions consistent with one’s scope of practice.* Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and outcomes.* Provide individual, dyad or group counselling and/or psychotherapy (if authorized under legislation) to referred individuals.* Network with community-based service providers, to improve program outcomes, streamline workflows and strengthen partnerships, engage in advocacy with community resources to address discrepancies in outcomes and provide more comprehensive supports for people with complex needs.* Supervise staff on implementation of clinical therapeutic strategies, plans, and protocols, and provide feedback to employees, and performance information to employee’s manager.* Provide education/workshops to employees and participate in ongoing continuing education activities. * Develop, implement and evaluate new policies and procedures specific to therapeutic interventions.* Lead team communications with individuals and their families when complex dynamics are adversely impacting the provision of services.* Produce timely, comprehensive documentation in accordance with all agency, departmental and professional standards and guidelines.Experience and education:* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work from an accredited university.* Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or eligibility to become registered.* Demonstrated knowledge and 3-5 years’ experience working with adults with a developmental and/or intellectual disability, dual diagnosis, acquired brain injury and/or related mental health/addiction issues.* Understanding of diagnostic criteria and clinical experience in assessment formulation and report writing.* Knowledge of trauma informed care and the strengths-based approach.* Knowledge of a variety of treatment modalities and social work assessment tools (e.g. genograms, ecomaps, SWOT analysis).* Working knowledge of pertinent legislation.* Additional training specific to indigenous/cultural safety is an asset.* Experience with court, justice and/or child welfare systems is an asset.* Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to network with community-based service providers, demonstrated computer literacy.The successful candidate must be able to perform the job duties as outlined in the job description. Complete Clinical Assessments that ensure appropriate resident care;
Liaise with interdisciplinary team and external care providers to facilitate best plan of care for each resident;
Lead and support Personal Support Workers and Health Care Aides in your home area to maximize resident care.
What YOU bring
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in applicable Province
Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers
Strong assessment, documentation, communication and critical thinking skills
Strong written, oral and time-management skills, including demonstrated experience delegating tasks to Personal Support Workers / Health Care Aides

- Base earnings include the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems
- Providing innovative solutions and best practices
- Diagnose, maintain and repair mobile off road mining equipment including haul trucks, graders, bulldozers, excavators, shovels, loaders, and other heavy equipment
- Working with brands including CAT, Komatsu, P&H, Hitachi, John Deere, Letourneau, Volvo, Marion upon others
- Willing to relocate near Sparwood, B.C.
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson’s Heavy Duty Mechanic or Heavy Duty Technician Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous mining experience is an asset

As an integral part of our Operations Team you will:
- Regular Fleet maintenance of our mobile equipment;
- Maintain records of service and repairs to equipment;
- Manage an inventory of Parts/materials required for service and maintenance to ensure uptime availability;
- Maintain a clean and organized work space;
- Will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Grade XII or equivalent Red seal certificate required
- Post-secondary training as a Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Red Seal certificate required
- Able to work under pressure and troubleshoot equipment including:
- Loaders
- Forklifts
- Grader
- Excavator
- Dump trucks
May be called upon to assist in troubleshooting/repair of plant equipment as well
Able to perform complete repair and overhaul
Diesel Experience an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude
Strong sense of safety
Ability to work without supervision and to get along well with others
Good organizational skills
Familiarity with computers is an asset
Appreciation and knowledge of production environment
You are customer focused and understand how to prioritize and multi-task with a sense of urgency when required
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required to accommodate equipment down times
