My husband and I are expat Canadians who sold everything during Covid, and bought a hotel in beloved Surfside community of Costa Rica. Much of our cottage time was spent on the shores of Turkey Point, fishing, BBQing and enjoying the water (and of course Pottahawk) with family and friends. Famous for being a safe and centralized location for easy day tripping, and home to 3 of the 5 best beaches in all of Costa Rica! You are a 5min walk to popular Potrero beach where you can rent all the water toys to satisfy all ages, or enjoy sunset cocktails at nearby trendy restaurants or hit up a yoga class and markets. This area has it all and it's only 45 minutes from Liberia Airport.
About the house: This solid bungalow called Casa Chorotega after the indigenous tribe of the area is fully equipped and can accommodate six people comfortably. There is an ambient backlit king size bed, with private ensuite bathroom, boasting a rare adobe style handcrafted inground soaker tub. There is also a second bath room for a bedroom with 2 single beds, and a third bedroom with a deluxe comfort, splitable king size bed. The kitchen boasts trendy authentic handcrafted encaustic tiles from Nicaragua, made in the same way as they did it over 100 years ago. The living area is adorned with “sweated” antique indigenous masks that were worn in ceremony many years ago, and some hunting artifacts from a nearby tribe. This is truly an authentic jungle lux experience. This villa is located on the grounds of our small boutique hotel, so you will get a whole resort to just yourselves! For the first time ever the hotel will be otherwise closed, but still staffed, and we'll be around so you literally can have a whole resort rental for a fraction of the typical cost. Red and White is well stocked with most anything you might have forgotten so duck in there for beach toys to fire wood. LCBO is also a 5 minute walk if you need to restock.

Year-round fun, located on Lake Nepewassi in Estaire Ontario, close to Sudbury, where there is something for everyone!
You'll have access to the huge dock/deck down at the lake as well as the shoreline to the left and right of it (approx. 150ft total).
Although my spouse and I live on the main floor, we are very quiet and seldom have visitors. We'll respect your privacy while you're enjoying the outdoors and will only interact with you should you invite us to socialize with you.
We'll also be able to cater to your needs quickly should you need assistance or have questions.

When coming in from hwy 17 (Sturgeon Fall, North Bay, Ottawa), your last gas station is in Wahnapitae.
If arriving from the Espanola/Elliot Lake/Sault-Ste-Marie areas, please gas up in Sudbury before heading our way.
Welcome to Northern Ontario, while at the property you may be exposed to various wildlife/insects, we, unfortunately, cannot control mother nature. Please don't leave the doors open as you can not only let in insects but potentially mice and our friendly chipmunks! We cannot be responsible for wildlife during your stay.
You may see swans, beavers, minks, otters, geese, ducks, foxes, mosquitos, black flies, bats, raccoons and potentially even a bear (although we have not seen one on the property) be sure to keep all food and garbage inside and picked up as it will attract animals.
