To continue my career in this field, I am currently pursuing a degree in Integrated Mathematics and Computer Science at Ontario Tech University.
With roughly two years of tutoring experience, my approach is to help all students thoroughly understand concepts, rather than just memorize formulas or techniques. I believe that this is a key to long-term success in any subject. To achieve this, I use a variety of teaching methods and resources in my lessons. I also encourage my students to ask questions and actively participate in the learning process, this helps them develop a deeper understanding of the subject and makes the learning process more enjoyable.
Knowing that there are different learning styles, I make an effort to tailor my lessons to individual needs. For example, if a student prefers visual aid, I might use more diagrams and graphs in my lessons, while someone more hands on might require a greater number of interactive activities or problem-solving exercises.
Overall, my goal as a tutor is to share my knowledge and expertise in a way that helps all learners succeed.

and Saturdays 10:00am to 12:00pmGoju Ryu takes its name from Go, the principle of concentrated force or “hardness,” and Ju, the principle of pliability or “softness.” Goju Ryu seeks a balance between hard and soft in its techniques, physical training and philosophy. The term Ryu, “stream,” refers to the traditional lineage of this martial art, passed from teacher to student for generations. Certain aspects of the Goju Ryu taught at Seito Bugei Juku (Okinawa Goju Ryu, to distinguish it from Japanese Goju Ryu) have been preserved in their original form, while others have been enhanced through studies in anatomy, kinesiology, and physics.
In addition, Okinawa Goju Ryu includes special exercises to condition the body and improve mental focus.

The art contains twelve forms (kata) and were developed in part by Shimizu Takaji and by a committee tasked with the creation of a compact Jōdō system to be taught mainly in Kendo dojo. The result was the Zen Ken Renmei Seitei Jōdō system containing twelve forms (kata) and twelve basic techniques (kihon).
It is a great champion art for those doing other forms of Japanese Martial Arts.
Both the basic techniques and forms are drawn primarily from the koryu martial art Shinto Muso-ryu. The kata were chosen from the three first series of SMR, Omote, chudan and Ran ai as they were seen to best represent the art. Ten of these kata were taken from the existing SMR kata but with minor modifications as to better suit the requirements of the Kendo Federation. The two other kata was created specifically for the new Seitei Jōdō system and was not part of the original SMR-system. Seitei Jodo is today taught as a part of the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei (All Japan Kendo Federation).

Seeking a drummer to fill out a 4 piece within a reasonable driving distance to (or from) north Durham/ Kawartha Lakes. The guitarist (me), bassist and singer are 50'ish and have started to rehearse a dozen tunes, getting ready for more!
We are new to one another but have established a good foundation with biweekly rehearsals. All have gigged before and are looking forward to performing again. Our tastes are varied but generally fit rock and some blues genres. Some bands that we're covering to start -
ZZ Top / SRV / CCR / STP / VH / Oasis / Bowie / Sloan / Idol / Hip / Killers
Looking for someone that enjoys working together, isn't afraid of making mistakes, wants to have fun while making good use of the available time to practice.
All the space and gear to play is available, also willing to practice elsewhere if logistics make sense. PM or text 705-340-9775.

Good evening, Despite in-person lessons are much better, I'm offering online sessions as well. Look forward to talking with you!
My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. (Drums taught by another teacher) We will discuss: Structure (Form), Harmony, Melody, Counterpoint, Sightreading and Improvisation while meeting the technical demands of instrument.
Each lesson will be 30 - 45 minutes with the option to have the lesson at your location/home. My rates are fair and negotiable. We all have our lives and circumstances going on; it's okay. Feel free to respond to this ad, call or text: 647-294-0493. (I'm quite busy, if you text the instrument you wish to learn, I'll call as soon as I'm available)
Thanks for reading, I hope we chat soon! "Music is the mediator between the spiritual and sensual life" - Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Mature keyboard available. I have played for many years in bands and have recently moved to the Peterborough / Lindsay area. My previous bands typically played at dances, weddings and some bars playing genres of classic rock, pop, new country, current and old covers, etc.

30yr old male bassist looking to put together a British covers/tribute band.
The aim is to evolve a set list & band that plays British rock/pop. My own personal influences are 60s mod & 90s Britpop, but it would be nice to play a wide variety on the British theme, so I’m open to all suggestions (literally)!
Looking to have a laugh as a Brit who’s recently moved here with previous weddings band experience in England. Practise a bit, commit to a democratically chosen set list, then proceed to play a couple of pubs to see how it goes down live.
Really not looking for egos, rulers, or those looking to break the world with originality. Simply a pub covers band, whose members have a laugh whilst playing a few British tunes.
I believe there to be a niche market for this category of band if the wheels were ever to start rolling… I am confident pub gigs would not be hard to come by for a cohesive outfit.
Song choice should not pose a problem given the cannon to choose from, and the openness of members.
If interested reply here or via 289 354 0032

I am a 60 year old gal, I live in a self contained off grid Bunkie that I own.
On a very fixed income. Generally with the price of everything so out of control , I can no longer afford rent... even for just a room.
As a last gasp... I got the bunkie, and have been on someone else's property since last year.
I am looking for a new and safe location in Peterborough County
Perferably Lakefield, to Buckhorn, Curve Lake, and a large swath of the surrounding area. That said... I would seriously look at all options.
I am 60 single and will be remaining so. I do not partake in any forms of drugs or alcohol. I am capable, kind and funny.
I really cant believe, that Canadians anywhere are suffering from food or housing insecurity... Sadly I have become a living example.
I own my bunkie... I am merely looking to move it to a better place.
It has to come in by truck and then lowered off. It requires no permit due to its small size.
I'm out here, looking for a land owner, who would like to make some monthly cash for a place for me to
Keep a 10x10 bunkie
2 bush cord of wood
3 fairly large solar panels
A cattery also 10 by 10 for my cats.
I could sure use some help with this...
and Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
Sinc Miss Stormy
226 - 232 - 1575....or text if you prefer.
Looking for a May 1 move.

A Call to New Earth
"Connecting Consciousness"Greetings My Friends of the Golden Way. If you are community bound, living fully in 5D, fully awake, aware, and activated, and fully committed to the spiritual, service-to-others life, Taralend, an Intentional Community in its infancy stage is looking for aware people to come see, stay and help build a new community. Specifically, founding members with experience in applicable areas and the vision, inspiration, and will to wayshow others in the foundation-building, co-creation, and manifestation of conscious 5D, New Earth community are called here.
We are located on 176 gorgeous, pristine, forested acres with granite cliffs and sweeps, portals and ley lines, springs, streams, river, lake, and wetlands, infinite variety, and unlimited potential for creative, inspired new age living. There is magic everywhere here, and the elementals are but a thin veil away.
As founder and First Wave elder ascending starseed, I have been here for 4 years, off-grid, in yurt heaven, stewarding the beautiful land and the souls of our forest bright, spreading and anchoring light in this northern place of harsh realities and much trauma, working with ley lines, and dancing with our resident interdimensional and anciently wise Saquatch elders (called Sabe by our Anishnabe brothers and sisters).
The time of tearing down and dismantling, purging and purifying of the dark constructs, energies and forces draws to completion. Soon the time of rebuilding and 5D co-creation will be upon us. For that time our preparations now begin.
For further information, or to make contact please email Lumeri at taralendnovagaia@gmail.com, or Craig at craigniziolek@gmail.com
I wish you peace!
Namaste.

Introductory Latin
Dates and Times: Thursdays from 7-9pm beginning February 8
Location: Traill College, 310 London Street, Peterborough
https://trentucontinuinged.corsizio.com/c/65312ab75dc28f34781856d0
Why would I want to learn Latin? No one speaks it anymore. This might’ve been your reaction when reading the title of this course. But this isn’t really true. While no one may speak Latin in its original form, many modern languages, including French and Spanish, have deep roots in the Latin language. Many words in use today in English have come to us from Latin. Learning Latin will definitely help improve your vocabulary, spelling, and grammar. Understanding a new language, even one this old, will expose you to new ways of thinking and perceiving the world. You’ll also have the opportunity to read and appreciate ancient texts in their original form.
In this course, you’ll learn fundamental Latin grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, as well as read various passages from ancient authors. We’ll be working primarily from chapters 1–4 of Wheelock’s Latin. However, I’ll also provide additional exercises and readings.Week 1 – Introduction: Common Latin Phrases
In this session, you’ll be introduced to the history of the Latin language, pronunciation, and we’ll look at common Latin words and phrases you already know. By the end of the class, you’ll actually be reading short Latin sentences!Week 2 – Verbs
This week, we’ll look at verbs, including terms such as person, number, tense, mood, and voice. We’ll also start learning some basic vocabulary from the first chapter of Wheelock’s Latin.Week 3 – Vocabulary
For this class, the focus will be on vocabulary building and reading original ancient Roman sentences.Week 4 – Nouns and Cases
In this session, we’ll talk about how nouns are formed in this inflected language (the word ending, rather than word order, determines the meaning).Week 5 – Agreement of Adjectives and Syntax
For this class, we’ll concentrate on adjective endings and how sentences are formed. You’ll be able to write your own sentences and read a few in the original Latin.Week 6 – Second Declension Masculine Nouns and Adjectives
This week, the focus will be on learning a new group of nouns and adjectives, as well as how to construct more complex sentences.Week 7 – The Verb “To Be”
In many languages, the most complex verb is “to be.” For this class, we’ll concentrate on learning this irregular verb. Also, we’ll look at new types of adjectives.Week 8 – Final Readings
For the final class, we’ll take everything we’ve learned and read some fun Latin texts in the original format.
About the instructor:Cara Jordan has a PhD in Classics from the University of Toronto where she served as a teaching assistant and instructor for over six years. While currently working as an academic editor for an online company, she also teaches woodburning and basketmaking workshops at the Art School of Peterborough, The Canadian Canoe Museum, and A Gift of Art in Newcastle. She is not a Trent graduate; however, she has worked with a number of Trent ESL students to help them improve their writing and language skills, as well as their artistic abilities.

"Music is the mediator between the spiritual and sensual life" - Ludwig Van Beethoven.

and Saturdays 10:00am to 12:00pmGoju Ryu takes its name from Go, the principle of concentrated force or “hardness,” and Ju, the principle of pliability or “softness.” Goju Ryu seeks a balance between hard and soft in its techniques, physical training and philosophy.

Do you want to become self-employed?
Mr. Steam is a unique, affordable franchise that is committed to finding innovative ways of providing support to franchisees by developing assets that can be shared by all Mr. Steam Owners. Our online training course, marketing content, web design and custom coded online booking software are perfect examples of how Mr. Steam assets can make entrepreneurship easier for franchise owners.
You need to buy your own tools (around $4000) and have a suitable work vehicle. Ideally you would have a cargo van or truck, but some franchisees have made it work with an SUV by wrapping it with vehicle decals, so it still looks professional to customers.
The cost of being part of the franchise system is $500 up front for the website set up (this just covers our set up costs) and a 10% royalty on sales once you’re open for business and making money.
There are currently 9 Mr. Steam franchisees in Canada and 3 in the USA. I can provide their contact information if you’d like to speak to them about their experience of opening a Mr. Steam. Overwhelmingly it is a low risk, high reward path into entrepreneurship.
Spring cleaning is the busiest time of year, so now is the perfect time to start!
Apply at MrSteamFranchising.com and be sure to check out our YouTube channel (just search “Mr. Steam carpet cleaning” as it has lots of helpful beginner information.
