Neh gaaw saga'igan is the local translation of Sandy Lake, where the people traditionally and continues to live off the abundance of land as hunters and gatherers. About the Opportunities

About You

Work closely with our other team members to be creative and innovative
Break down whole animal carcasses (Cut, trim, bone and otherwise prepare custom and standard cuts of meat) - mainly beef, lamb, pork, chicken.
Make various types of salami
Dry cure whole muscles cuts ie; prosciutto, speck, lonza etc...
Create added value products ie; gourmet sausages and burgers
Prepare dry aged meat
*Wrap / package fresh and frozen or prepared meats
Ensure food storage conditions are maintained
Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
Adhere to OMAFRA and local Health unit guidelines for food safety standards
Set up fresh display counter.
Prepare meat for special displays and delivery
Employment requirements.Must be able to communicate in English (spoken and written)
Must have knowledge on how to prepare and cook various types of cuts (primarily North American standards) to advise customers
Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of quality and service
Possess a class G drivers license

Bow Narrows Camp (www.bow narrows.com) is a beautiful, remote, off-the-road tourist/fishing camp located near Red Lake, ON. Red Lake is close to the border between Ontario and Manitoba, about a 6-hour drive from both Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. Our guests ride our cabin cruiser on a 32km trip across the lake to camp which consists of 9 rental cabins, a lodge with a dining room and kitchen, plus living quarters.
