Job Description:Service Engineer (Full Time) - Edmonton, AB Linde Canada Inc. is looking for a suitable and motivated candidate for the position of Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of projects and development of standards in support of Linde Canada's Service Group. The responsibilities for this position require the applicant to be involved in design, installation, and commissioning of industrial gas (O2, N2, Argon, CO2 and H2) supply systems of varying size and scope. This position is based out Edmonton, Alberta reporting to the Customer Service Engineering Manager. Our big solutions provider client in Edmonton are looking for a Business Analyst for a permanent position.
The Business Analyst (BA) works with the business owners to implement required business processes that can be supported by a range of systems and technologies, with the objective to optimize the end-to-end process. Systems include, but are not limited to the e-Emphasys ERP, Komatsu Reso, eServiceTech, eScheduler, Power BI, SSRS, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, OEM systems and others.

a. Policies

2. Provide Level 3 Service Desk support, ensuring issues that require escalations to internal and external vendors are monitored and resolved. The BA will also ensure IT service management systems (ServiceNow) are managed as per the prescribed process for escalated issues.
3. Provide support to project managers by:
a. Communicating how data is currently being used within supported systems
b. Explaining how the business actually operates on the front line
c. Explaining and assessing the impact projects may have on internal controls and JSOX requirements
d. Explaining and assessing the impact projects may have on disaster recovery
e. Complete requirements gathering, impact assessments and quality assurance efforts as required
f. Documenting test scripts required for projects and completing testing when required
4. Provide support to the eXtend team by:
a. Coordinating with the Business Application Manager and Director, Business Process and Applications, to determine delivery timing of objects (including business requirements documents, analyses, processes, enhancements, testing and solutions) and ensuring these objects are being delivered on time with expected outcomes
b. Coordinate, document, execute and support testing and certification of new processes and solutions
c. Reviewing and documenting business ideas and demands for future business prioritization and application enhancements
d. Documenting and validating reporting requirements and data elements required by the business.
5. Provide support to the change management team by:
a. Identifying areas requiring attention from the training group
b. Participating in development of user communications (including policy and process updates and technical solutions)
c. Providing quality assurance for the training material
d. Providing solution details and process training to the trainers, as required
6. Provide direction to users in terms of the capabilities of emerging technologies including BI, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and others.
7. Lead the business units through the acceptance testing process for changes to systems and processes.
8. Provide after-hours support for solution load and application updates.
Qualifications
Skill
Diploma, certificate or other post-secondary education in a related field and 5 or more years related experience
Excellent discipline and time management skills to plan, manage and deliver results within a team and independently
Thorough understanding of regulatory processes, business processes, data structure, reporting and internal controls, typically gained through multiple years of industry experience
Excellent analytical skills to thoroughly conceptualize complex business processes and the impact changes can make on business areas
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required
Ability to travel to where the work needs to be done and to work productively in a distributed team environment that includes other business analysts, support specialists, management, and user communities

Our client, the City of Calgary requires a Senior Peoplesoft Application Analyst contractor for 12 months with possible extension to work remotely MST Hours
Description:
The city requires a Hyperion contractor to assist in upgrading Hyperion EPM from version 11.1.2.4 to 11.2.x. To stay current, The City would like to upgrade to the latest update.
The scope of the project is to upgrade the application, upgrade the servers, upgrade the database, move current applications, and applications currently in development, to the new version. The City also has specific custom processes that must be brought into the upgraded version.
Responsibilities include:
1. Successfully upgrade Hyperion to version 11.2.x.
2. Providing guidance on any functionality lost in version 11.2, and recommendations on options to bring the functionality into the upgraded application.
3. Guide and recommend business and system processes based on version 11.2 and The City’s needs.
4. Document test scenarios with the users and prepare for UAT.
5. Transitioning the upgrade to the Support team.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Methanex is currently seeking an Instrument/Electrical Engineer to join the team in Medicine Hat, AB on a full-time basis.
The Instrument/Electrical Engineer works within codes of practice and engineering guidelines to design and/or coordinate instrumentation, control systems, and electrical projects through the project stages of research/definition, planning and estimating, execution, commissioning, and closeout. This role also provides technical expertise to the site when addressing/resolving plant issues associated with instrumentation, electrical and control/safety systems.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:- Design and modify new and existing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and safety PLCs (SIS), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), electrical systems, and the instruments or field devices required for assigned projects
- Size, select, procure, and supervise installation and commissioning of new and upgraded application-specific equipment
- Shared responsibility for the maintenance of site instrument database, instrument and equipment specification sheets, electrical panel and termination schedules, electrical layout drawings, logic drawings, Cause/Effect Matrix (CEM), and loop drawings
- Develop a basic understanding of the design concepts for key plant equipment (e.g. pumps, reformers)
- Utilize the Management of Change (MOC) procedure to assess and progress temporary and permanent changes in the plant
- Utilize the Manufacturing Capital Management Process (MCMP) procedure to progress a project from initiation to completion
- Manage assigned projects throughout life cycle stages by identifying requirements, establishing clear and achievable objectives, and balancing site demands to ensure safe and successful completion
- Provide technical support and guidance to the site within the instrumentation, control systems, and electrical discipline
- Utilize knowledge and experience to engineer technology controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems
- Participate in site hazard, what if reviews, and root cause analysis
- Support the Technical team in developing and actioning the annual department plan
- Ensures individual implementation of and compliance with all Methanex HR policies and procedures, including performance optimization
- Ensure compliance with the applicable codes and standards e.g., Canadian Electrical Code, International Society of Automation (ISA) Standards, and IEC1151 requirements as they relate to the areas of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical discipline
- Understanding of other discipline compliance areas (e.g., ABSA, ASME, API)
- Contribute to the organizational vision of Global Methanol Leadership and demonstrates the core values of integrity, trust, respect, and professionalism
To qualify, you will need an undergraduate degree in industrial controls and electrical engineering (or equivalent), along with 2 years of experience in control systems, instrumentation, and electrical technology design. Candidates must be eligible for membership as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or in progress as an EIT with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additionally, the following assets would be preferred, but not required:- Good working knowledge of industry codes and regulations, discipline-specific practices, and standards
- Experience with Microsoft Office software applications
- Experience with valve and instrument sizing software would be an asset
- Experience with Triconex and DeltaV systems would be an asset

Our client, the City of Calgary requires a Senior Peoplesoft Application Analyst contractor for 12 months with possible extension to work remotely MST Hours
Description:
The city requires a Hyperion contractor to assist in upgrading Hyperion EPM from version 11.1.2.4 to 11.2.x. To stay current, The City would like to upgrade to the latest update.
The scope of the project is to upgrade the application, upgrade the servers, upgrade the database, move current applications, and applications currently in development, to the new version. The City also has specific custom processes that must be brought into the upgraded version.

1. Successfully upgrade Hyperion to version 11.2.x.

Our Edmonton-base utilities client is looking for a Systems Analyst for a 12 month contract with possible extensions.
The Resource will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting and maintaining applications Actively taking part in our Agile delivery by:
• Contributing during sprint planning meetings
• Participating in daily stand-ups
• Accepting and acting on feedback from end users
• Providing constructive feedback through sprint retrospectives
• Completing development tasks assigned
• Assisting project architects on their technical decisions

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Mandatory:
• Completion of a 4-year Computer Science or Engineering degree, or a 2-year Computer Engineering / System Technology diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated development experience using modern web technologies, such as .NET (Framework, Core, and .NET 4.8+), Angular, AngularJS, Typescript,
HTML5, JavaScript, MS SQL DB, Entity Framework
• Broad IT experience and general web UI best practices.
• Adaptable to new technologies and able to learn new applications quickly.
Desirable:
• Experience in Azure cloud platform / services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Kubernete service, Azure Function, Azure Databricks would be considered an asset.
• Experience with M365 SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerBI would be considered an asset.
