Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis /Faultfinding of earth moving and material handling equipment
Repair and maintenance of earth moving and material handling equipment according to EOM specifications
Check for the proper operation of earth moving and material handling equipment
Repair or replace defective parts
Clean lubricate and routine maintenance on earth moving and material handling equipment
Perform routine scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) services, appraisals, and Safety Inspections
Complete all necessary timecards and report documentation as required
Complete shop work as required by Supervisor's direction when required
Communicate repair status and requirements with customers and Supervisors alike
Excel the 'customer experience' by being always professional
Order and track all parts request to meet the customer expectation
Complete jobs as assigned. Some out of town at customer site visits might be required
Proactively seek opportunities to grow customer accounts while carrying out your duties

Several years experience as a heavy-duty apprentice or uncertified mechanic

Willingness and desire to learn
A minimum of intermediate English language skills (spoken and written)

We are looking for someone who is highly experienced in construction (preferably with tiny homes) and has a high commitment to a quality product.
Bluegrass Meadows Micro Village is located 15 minutes from Terrace B.C. on the beautiful Kalum River, one of the best fishing rivers in western Canada. If you’re passionate about tiny home living this could be your ‘dream job’! As well as building tiny homes we have created Canada’s first tiny home community.
Bluegrass Meadows currently has 45 tiny homes and cabins and we will be building many more this summer and beyond. We build CSA certified RV’s and Park Models as well as cabins on permanent foundations for long term rentals in our village. Construction methods are similar to that of regular house construction, but we follow different rules to comply with CSA Z240 RV and CSA Z241 Park Model standards for our tiny homes on wheels.
Applicants should be friendly, community orientated, have a positive attitude and be able to work with different sub-trades (electrician/plumber/gas fitter). A general knowledge of all areas of home construction is essential; pricing, framing, plumbing, electrical, finishing carpentry, tiling, flooring, cabinet assembly, metal work and painting. We’re looking for someone who is self motivated but also able to work with and/or lead a team if need be.
As we build CSA certified tiny homes on wheels one would need to continually monitor all phases of home construction to ensure that the plans and code rules are being followed accurately. Word and Excel skills are an asset.
Terrace offers amazing skiing, snowboarding, hiking, fishing and many other outdoor activities. In the future other opportunities will exist beyond Terrace as we have secured properties and will be building more tiny house communities in other amazing BC mountain communities over the next few years.

• Monitor subcontractor activities, including weld joint fit up, production welding, PWHT and NDE operations to ensure conformance to applicable requirements
• Coordinate subcontractor welding activities with other site activities
• Monitor the subcontractors NDE operations for conformance to approved procedures
• Review subcontractor NDE reports and RT film interpretations, as applicable, for acceptance
• Perform independent inspections and verifications, as required. to ensure subcontractor compliance to applicable requirements
• Prepare reports, as necessary, to document monitoring/inspection/overview activities.
• Provide oversight/inspection of coatings activities including verification of surface profile, environmental conditions, material mixing, material application, dry film thickness (DFT) and curing

Other Job Requirements :
• Perform physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to: welding, piping, civil, concrete, buildings, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing

• Develop site-specific quality procedures as necessary to support the project
