Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Farm Supervisor to lead daily operations on our agricultural and livestock facilities. In this role, you will oversee farm activities, manage staff, ensure crop welfare, and maintain equipment to promote a productive, safe, and sustainable farm environment. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold high standards of environment, work place safety, and foster a positive team atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in agricultural management and crop care.
Duties
Coordinate, assign and supervise the work of specialized livestock workers, farm machinery operators, livestock labourers and harvesting labourers
Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
Supervise, monitor and enforce procedures to maintain animal and crop health and welfare
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
Supervise maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
Develop work schedules and establish procedures
Ensure farm safety, food safety and security and bio-security procedures are followed
Maintain quality control and production records
May perform general farm duties
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in an agricultural or farm setting
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair equipment and perform welding tasks
Experience operating forklifts, heavy machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely
Knowledge of farming techniques including irrigation systems, horticulture, greenhouse management, and growing experience
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment with precision
Basic math skills for measurements, record-keeping, and inventory management
Familiarity with farming software or record-keeping systems is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
