Looking for a mature, dependable person to support a female who is almost 40 years of age. She lives in her own home and uses a wheelchair. The job consists of supporting this individual to live independently and carry out her daily activities such as: house cleaning, meal preparation, laundry and other household chores, running errands, grocery shopping, personal care, etc. Job requires physical lifting, specifically during transfers in and out of wheelchair. (there is access to a Hoyer lift too). Also must have a valid driver’s license as the individual has her own vehicle, but can’t drive herself.
The shifts that need to be filled (ideally would prefer to hire one person to fill all these shifts, but open to hiring two part-time people):
• Monday 4pm to 930pm
• Tuesday 8am-4pm
• Wednesday 8am-4pm
• Thursday 4pm-930pm
• Friday 4pm-930pm
• Every second Sunday 930am-930pm
• Also opportunity to pick up extra shifts when other support workers are sick or need time off.This individual needs someone to be on shift at all times and it’s important to understand that not showing up for shifts, giving short notice that you can’t make it, or frequently asking for time off is not acceptable.
Experience is a benefit, but not necessary – dependability, reliability, good work ethic, and a compassionate, understanding personality is most important!

Myself and my partner are expecting a new baby any day now. We are looking for someone with childcare experience to help out, as my partner works offshore and I will be be alone with the baby for a few weeks at a time.
This position would start as a ‘Mother’s Helper’ role, assisting me in adjusting to new parenthood while my partner is gone. Tasks would include helping me with feedings, small household tasks (washing bottles, helping with baby’s laundry, etc.) and watching the baby for short periods of time so I can walk the dog or shower.
After the newborn stage, this role would transition into a part time nanny/sitter role.
The hours would require flexibility, mostly days but sometimes evenings, but we can plan this together and always with lots of notice.
This would be a great position for a mature student, retiree, or someone looking for a casual or perhaps second job.
Salary is negotiable based on experience. We do have a big dog, so if you have a fear of dogs, this position probably isn’t for you.
