Your new role
You will be responsible for working in the field service truck to perform assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs and complete overhauls of heavy equipment servicing the mining and resources industries. You will need to be able to make recommendations and suggest methods of improvement regarding repairs.
As a heavy equipment technician, you will need to be able to think logically and keep up with changes in technology. You will interpret work orders and technical manuals to guarantee top customer satisfaction. You must be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment and have strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
What you'll need to succeed
You will possess a Heavy Duty Technician Inter-provincial Red Seal. You will have experience in repair/maintenance of heavy duty equipment. 5 years of experience with mining size Komatsu, John Deere, CAT, Hitachi, or other brands Equipment is considered an asset, but other brands of heavy equipment in similar sizes and models will be considered too . You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills to the team.

The 3D Design Manager will lead a team of more than 20 designers, fabrication modellers, and detailers working on projects across North America and Asia. -At least 10 years experience in a responsible detailing role and progressive responsibility in leading detailing teams for major timber, steel, or precast detailing projects.
-Five or more years of direct experience managing teams, including HR, hiring, performance reviews, mentorship, and leading detailing teams with multiple project teams reporting into them.
-Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams with proven methods to increase productivity, team communication and team development
-Proficiency in a 3D Modelling/detailing platform and/or BIM platform – preferably Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, HSB Cad, Cadwork, or Tekla.
-High proficiency in resource management or ERP software – and fluency in Smartsheet or MS Excel
-Knowledge and experience developing dashboards and analytics a bonus.

About the Opportunity
Ironworkers Local 97 is looking for full-time Journeyperson Ironworkers - Generalists or Reinforcing to join their team. Projects will take place in British Columbia and the Yukon.
Day-to-day as a Journeyperson, your responsibilities could include:- Synthesizing information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project
- Using details from written plans and instructions from supervisors in order to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together
- Transporting heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly
- Building steel structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building, a bridge, a highway, or other public works project
- Ensuring proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs
- Transforming metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques
- Accessing challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper provincial regulations
To succeed as a Journeyperson, you need to have the following skills and experiences:- Completion of a Red Seal Ironworker (Generalist) or Red Seal Ironworker (Reinforcing) ticket
- Ability to pass all types of screening before employment

As our skilled trade worker, you will have existing experience and knowledge in concrete formwork construction for low-rise buildings, typically with a background in rough carpentry.

*HIRING* Truck and Transport / Heavy Duty mechanics.
Gear-O-Rama Supply is a full service International Truck and Doepker Trailer dealership that offers Parts, Service and New & Used Truck and Trailer Sales to the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Northern BC region. - Permanent position
- 40 hours per week + Overtime if needed
- Cummins and other diesel engine experience considered an asset
- Class 1 Driver's License an asset (willing to train)
- strong diagnostic and electrical skills are required
- must have good computer skills with the ability to read and comprehend service procedures and technical documents
- must be self motivated
Duties include:
- Vehicle inspection
- All aspects of engine repair; including: rebuilds, overhauls and diagnostic troubleshooting of commercial truck, bus and road transport equipmentWe supply an excellent benefit package including extended medical & dental.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…
Construction of new and existing sites
Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts.
Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
Work with a variety of pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing instruments to measure and control variables
Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices
Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, diagnose faults and tubingEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.
Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work).
Excellent communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to work safely.
