Our Team
Our Newfoundland and Labrador Operations are an integrated mining, milling, and processing operation. Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey's Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds and copper cathodes.
The Mines Technical Services (MTS) team is integral to the success of the Voisey's Bay operation to ensure we continue to be a safe, predictable, and reliable producer. The various disciplines within our team collaborate to ensure we provide reliable, quality data to support mine design, planning, and production.
The Opportunity
Vale recognizes the Impacts and Benefits Agreements with the Innu Nation and the Nunatsiavut Government in which Innu and Inuit workers have first preference for employment at the Voisey's Bay Mine Site. This is guided by an adjacency principle that first gives preference to those who live on the coast of Labrador, followed by those residing in the rest of Labrador, those residing on the island of the province, followed by the rest of Canada.

We are currently seeking a MTS Student – Spring 2024 Semester to join our Mining Technical Service Department. St. John's, NL. This is a 4-month fixed term position. This position will be supporting Voisey's Bay on a Monday – Friday schedule working out of the St. John's office.
As a Mining Engineering Student, you will have the opportunity to further your development by providing day-to-day support for various projects and initiatives within the Voisey's Bay Mine Expansion Team. From assisting with the overall engineering designs and reviews to meet our execution schedule for the Voisey's Bay Mine Expansion Project to leadership development, diversity & inclusion and culture, you will have a holistic and enriching experience like no other. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Provide technical support to the engineering team to meet engineering deliverables.
- Provide technical support to the contractors in their respective discipline and assess the quality of the work in the field.
- Execute engineering studies/assessments work through the utilization of the data-centric 3D and CAD tools.
- Provide support into detailed design to meet operational requirements.
- Provide technical support for preparation of engineering design deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Participate in HAZOP's and other safety reviews.
- Plan and implement work in a manner that promotes safe working environment and ensure that adverse environmental effects are minimized.
- Assist with reviewing various forms of disciplinary project data, analyze, and then effectively communicate areas requiring focus.
- Provide guidance as it relates to their respective engineering discipline.
- Provide support for ensuring engineering standards, codes, and guidelines are implemented.
About You
Education:
- Currently enrolled as a student in an Engineering (Co-op) Program, preferably in mining engineering.
Experience:
- Ability to relocate to the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador for the duration of the co-op term.
- Experience in an underground mining environment would be considered an asset.
- Previous experience with Deswik or other mine planning software would be considered an asset.
- Solid verbal, written and analytical communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products—knowledge in Excel is essential.
- Proven time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven safety record are essential.

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our Integrated Planning department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This position is on a two week on, two week off rotation.
The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will support our Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance department at the Voisey's Bay Mine Site. The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will be responsible for creating construction and maintenance plans for U/G infrastructure including bulk material handling systems, conveyors, pumps, sizers, overhead doors, fan installations, etc. The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will also aid the maintenance team to stay focused and on track with the scheduled short- and long-term plans. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Assemble ready to execute job packages.
- Utilize SAP to developed detailed planning for U/G Mechanical equipment including identification of tasks, materials, tools, equipment, and resources.
- Review the status of work orders to prioritize planning activities for approved work orders within area of responsibility on a daily basis.
- Ensure the identification of resource requirements and readiness for execution prior to the date required for the work to be completed.
- Encourage contribution of planning details from those expected to complete work.
- Incorporate crew input into planning packages for work execution.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders to meet completion deadlines.
- Improve the efficiency of the planning process by developing and using standard jobs as templates.
- Ensure that all work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Create accurate plans for the scheduling and resource forecasting for weekly, monthly, and long-term maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance contractors.
- Monitor and communicate Key Performance Indicators and implement strategies to improve compliance.
About You
Education:
- Post-secondary education is required.
- Interprovincial Red Seal in Millwright, Pipefitting or another Mechanical discipline is preferred.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role related to maintenance planning and scheduling.
- General knowledge in the operation of Mining repair facilities and or U/G Mining with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Strong computer usage skills in SAP, BMS, Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook, Word), Business Objects, Manufacturer Technical Online Support Services, etc.
Skills:
- Understanding of computerized work management systems.
- Understanding of Asset Management concepts and systems.
- Ability to schedule, prioritize, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of codes, ability to read prints and schematics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

We are currently seeking a Utilities Maintenance Superintendent to join our Maintenance department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This rotational based position will be on a one week on, one week off or a two week on, two week off rotation, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the business.
The Utilities Maintenance Superintendent will develop the systems and maintenance reliability strategy for the existing and future diesel power generating plants, supporting distribution systems and utilities. Supporting the Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager, preparing for the thorough development and execution of appropriate maintenance strategies to deliver Power and Utilities systems reliability. Also, supporting the Site Services Manager in developing the Voisey's Power Generation, Distribution and Utilities Operation/Maintenance Strategy. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Provide field level leadership to a large diverse team of mechanical trades, electrical and instrumentation trades, supervisors, and engineers during maintenance activities.
- Implement management systems within the area(s) of accountability to achieve zero harm to employees, the business, the environment, and the community.
- Complete incident investigations and assigns actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure adherence to global standards on planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Focus on continuous improvement of the business, work practices and asset performance.
- Implement lean management practices including 5S to improve workplace conditions.
- Audit training compliance of employees within their area of accountability.
- Develop the area's annual execution plan and develop area specific goals and objectives.
- Forecast and managing multi-million-dollar annual maintenance budget.
- Contribute to asset integrity reviews and develop repair plans to address risks.
- Present monthly deviations to senior management and implement action plans.
About You
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering combined with a Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng.), Engineering Technology Diploma, or Certified Red Seal designation in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a fixed plant or power generation maintenance environment combined with at least 5 years frontline leadership experience.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of maintenance reliability principles and practices.
- Must have excellent leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and oral and communications skills.
- Knowledge of open pit and underground mining is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a fly in/fly out environment is considered an asset.
- Solid budgeting abilities.
- General knowledge of warehousing and procurement.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural workforce.
- Must have working Knowledge with CMMS systems (SAP preferred).

- Utilize SAP to developed detailed planning for U/G Mobile equipment including identification of tasks, materials, tools, equipment, and resources.
- Work with the various departments to support the maintenance program of the U/G Mobile Equipment fleet.
- Review, monitor, and adjust critical material availability for priority equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in expediting repair parts for equipment breakdowns.
- Incorporate crew input into planning packages for work execution.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders to meet completion deadlines.
- Improve the efficiency of the planning process by developing and using standard jobs as templates.
- Ensure that all work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Compile, update, and manage the backlog and other mandated control reports.
- Work with procurement, expediting, and vendors to track delivery of critical materials to site.

About You
Education:
- Post-secondary education is required.
- Interprovincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is preferred.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role related to maintenance planning and scheduling.
- General knowledge in the operation of a Heavy Equipment and Mining repair facilities and or U/G Mining.
- Strong computer usage skills in SAP, BMS, Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook, Word), Business Objects, Manufacturer Technical Online Support Services, etc.

We are currently seeking a Mine Technologist to join our Mine Technical Services (MTS) team in Voisey's Bay, NL. This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This position is on a two week on, two week off rotation.
The Mine Technologist is responsible for providing intermediate level technical support for surveying within the mine on a daily execution schedule. The Mine Technologist works collaterally with their peers within the mining and technical services team and cross functionally with all other areas of the mine to complete tasks in their area of accountability.
Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Follow the safety plan developed for the operations department in conjunction with the Mines Technical Services Safety Plan.
- Provide input for creation of the drilling, development and production layouts for execution by the Operating Team.
- Monitor mine development, production, and construction excavation projects with respect to lines, grade and conformance to short term production plans raising issues of non-conformance to the Supervisor.
- Identify, analyze, and recommend opportunities for safety, productivity and cost improvements.
- Frequent underground travel is required.
- Work with the Vale's Operational Excellence Team, establish the Key Performance Indicators for mine development and mine production. This will include establishing data gathering and data validation.
- Analyze performance trends relative to target and make recommendations on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.

Surveying:
- Maintain survey equipment, survey software and source surveying supplies.
- Perform and conduct open pit and underground surveying.
- Upload survey information and update drawings following standards, including sections.
- Issue driving layouts for operations usage.
- Complete Safety Notices.
- Assist the operations team with effective utilization of the total navigation system for the development jumbos.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of, or familiarity with, use of electrical and electronic measuring instruments, devices, equipment, apparatus and the interpretation of schematics, construction drawings and Canadian Electrical Code. Possess a sound basic knowledge of the theory and operation of transformers, circuit breakers, voltage regulators and other related equipment.

Our Team
Our Newfoundland and Labrador Operations are an integrated mining, milling, and processing operation. Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey's Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds and copper cathodes.
The Mines Technical Services (MTS) team is integral to the success of the Voisey's Bay operation to ensure we continue to be a safe, predictable, and reliable producer. The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a MTS Student – Spring 2024 Semester to join our Mining Technical Service Department. St. John's, NL. This is a 4-month fixed term position. This position will be supporting Voisey's Bay on a Monday – Friday schedule working out of the St. John's office.
As a Mining Engineering Student, you will have the opportunity to further your development by providing day-to-day support for various projects and initiatives within the Voisey's Bay Mine Expansion Team. From assisting with the overall engineering designs and reviews to meet our execution schedule for the Voisey's Bay Mine Expansion Project to leadership development, diversity & inclusion and culture, you will have a holistic and enriching experience like no other. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Provide technical support to the engineering team to meet engineering deliverables.
- Provide technical support to the contractors in their respective discipline and assess the quality of the work in the field.
- Execute engineering studies/assessments work through the utilization of the data-centric 3D and CAD tools.

Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Muskrat Falls, LabradorThe Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Mechanical Maintenance group during the performance of regular preventative and corrective maintenance at the Muskrat Falls Generating Station and associated facilities, Transition Compound and Converter Station. The incumbent is expected to exercise a considerable amount of judgement and personal initiative in the performance of day to day activities required to implement the maintenance plan.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will assign work to employees to ensure the best possible use of resources and materials, and that any necessary outages are kept to a minimum duration. This position will also supervise employees engaged in completing all capital projects on schedule, administer the collective agreement, as well as review and approve timesheets.
The incumbent must ensure the necessary tools, equipment, spare parts, etc. are properly maintained and are available for use when needed. In addition, the incumbent will conduct planned general inspections, as well as accident/incident investigations to ensure all hazards in the workplace are identified and eliminated or controlled. This position will also responds to emergency situations such as equipment failure and supervises employees to correct the problem as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This position will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all Corporate policies and procedures, and Ensures that all existing Corporate Policies, Safety and Loss Control Programs, etc., are adhered to by the Mechanical Department. The incumbent should also be familiar with the Environmental Policy and Guiding Principles and applicable environmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications:
High school graduation and either graduation from an appropriate technology course, or an Interprovincial Journeyperson's certificate in the Industrial Mechanical field. A minimum 2-5 years' experience of progressively responsible electric utility experience with relevant and transferable experience at the supervisory or management level.

The Integrated Planning team supports all Site Operations and asset repair requirements to maintain a safe and productive operation. Direct engagement with various departments allows the team to efficiently plan and organize required work scopes for all aspects of installations, repairs, and modifications to site assets.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our Integrated Planning department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This position is on a two week on, two week off rotation.
The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner will support our Underground Mobile Maintenance department at the Voisey's Bay Mine Site. The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner will develop work orders and schedules for underground mobile equipment while incorporating safe working condition criteria, production targets, and forecasting the appropriate resources to complete safe work. The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner will also aid the maintenance team to stay focused and on track with the scheduled short- and long-term plans. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Assemble ready to execute job packages.
- Utilize SAP to developed detailed planning for U/G Mobile equipment including identification of tasks, materials, tools, equipment, and resources.
- Work with the various departments to support the maintenance program of the U/G Mobile Equipment fleet.
- Review, monitor, and adjust critical material availability for priority equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in expediting repair parts for equipment breakdowns.
- Incorporate crew input into planning packages for work execution.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders to meet completion deadlines.
- Improve the efficiency of the planning process by developing and using standard jobs as templates.
- Ensure that all work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Compile, update, and manage the backlog and other mandated control reports.
- Work with procurement, expediting, and vendors to track delivery of critical materials to site.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance contractors.
- Monitor and communicate Key Performance Indicators and implement strategies to improve compliance.
About You
Education:
- Post-secondary education is required.
- Interprovincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is preferred.
Experience:

We are currently seeking a Utilities Maintenance Superintendent to join our Maintenance department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This rotational based position will be on a one week on, one week off or a two week on, two week off rotation, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the business.
The Utilities Maintenance Superintendent will develop the systems and maintenance reliability strategy for the existing and future diesel power generating plants, supporting distribution systems and utilities. Supporting the Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager, preparing for the thorough development and execution of appropriate maintenance strategies to deliver Power and Utilities systems reliability. Also, supporting the Site Services Manager in developing the Voisey's Power Generation, Distribution and Utilities Operation/Maintenance Strategy. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Provide field level leadership to a large diverse team of mechanical trades, electrical and instrumentation trades, supervisors, and engineers during maintenance activities.
- Implement management systems within the area(s) of accountability to achieve zero harm to employees, the business, the environment, and the community.
- Complete incident investigations and assigns actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure adherence to global standards on planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Focus on continuous improvement of the business, work practices and asset performance.
- Implement lean management practices including 5S to improve workplace conditions.
- Audit training compliance of employees within their area of accountability.
- Develop the area's annual execution plan and develop area specific goals and objectives.
- Forecast and managing multi-million-dollar annual maintenance budget.
- Contribute to asset integrity reviews and develop repair plans to address risks.
- Present monthly deviations to senior management and implement action plans.
About You
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering combined with a Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng.), Engineering Technology Diploma, or Certified Red Seal designation in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a fixed plant or power generation maintenance environment combined with at least 5 years frontline leadership experience.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of maintenance reliability principles and practices.
- Must have excellent leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and oral and communications skills.
- Knowledge of open pit and underground mining is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a fly in/fly out environment is considered an asset.
- Solid budgeting abilities.
- General knowledge of warehousing and procurement.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural workforce.
- Must have working Knowledge with CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
- Knowledge of PowerBI would be considered an asset.

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician – Automotive Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of automotive and other light vehicles on site. The Maintenance Technician – Automotive Technician is also responsible for maintaining equipment safely and effectively to meet performance requirements and the needs of the organization. The Maintenance Technician – Automotive Technician will work out of the Light Vehicle Shop with a diverse team of various tradespeople. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Service, inspect, and repair various makes and models of diesel-powered light vehicles, as well as small gasoline powered recreational and utility vehicles.
- Ensure safe operating conditions of the light vehicle fleet.
- Diagnose and repair driveline, fuel, exhaust, cooling, electrical, or any other automotive or light vehicle issues.
- Use various types of diagnostic equipment including OEM and aftermarket systems.
- Provide part requirements and labour estimates to plan future repairs.
- Complete other job-related documentation and paperwork as required.
- Work with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving departmental performance objectives.
About You
Education:
- College diploma in Automotive Technician is required.
- An Interprovincial Red Seal certification in the above trade is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-4 years' experience as an Automotive Technician.

- Perform scheduled maintenance services and safety inspections as required.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Jack and hoist vehicles safely, while utilizing the proper equipment such as hoists, jacks, jack stands, blocking, or cribbing.
- Inspect and remove tire and wheel assemblies and repair tires by using manufacturer's specifications and selecting appropriate repair techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Inspect, exam, and test rims, tires, and undercarriage to recommend the extent and nature of the work to be completed.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure that each work order has been completed to meet safety standards.
- Assist mechanics as needed.
About You
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College diploma in Tire Repair would be considered an asset.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Off Road Tires within a Mining environment is preferred or demonstrated experience within a heavy industrial environment.

We are currently seeking a Mine Technologist to join our Mine Technical Services (MTS) team in Voisey's Bay, NL. This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This position is on a two week on, two week off rotation.
The Mine Technologist is responsible for providing intermediate level technical support for surveying within the mine on a daily execution schedule. The Mine Technologist works collaterally with their peers within the mining and technical services team and cross functionally with all other areas of the mine to complete tasks in their area of accountability.
Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Follow the safety plan developed for the operations department in conjunction with the Mines Technical Services Safety Plan.
- Provide input for creation of the drilling, development and production layouts for execution by the Operating Team.
- Monitor mine development, production, and construction excavation projects with respect to lines, grade and conformance to short term production plans raising issues of non-conformance to the Supervisor.
- Identify, analyze, and recommend opportunities for safety, productivity and cost improvements.
- Frequent underground travel is required.
- Work with the Vale's Operational Excellence Team, establish the Key Performance Indicators for mine development and mine production. This will include establishing data gathering and data validation.
- Analyze performance trends relative to target and make recommendations on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects following Vale's Kaizen process
Surveying:
- Maintain survey equipment, survey software and source surveying supplies.

We are currently seeking two Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendents to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This rotational based position will be on a one week on, one week off or a two week on, two week off rotation, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the business.
The Maintenance Superintendent directs and supervises the activities of the Maintenance group and is mainly responsible for the activities of the group – including recruitment, planning, and maintenance expenditures. They also lead maintenance activities with other groups and departments to ensure needs are being met in a timely manner. The department is responsible for the maintenance of all surface fixed plant assets including the Concentrator and Paste Plant. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Be accountable for delivering reliable plant operations for the mine site, and ensuring all production risks are mitigated through the effective use of maintenance resources.
- Provide field level leadership to a large diverse team of mechanical trades, electrical and instrumentation trades, supervisors, and engineers during maintenance activities.
- Implement management systems within the area(s) of accountability to achieve zero harm to employees, the business, the environment, and the community.
- Complete incident investigations and assigns actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure adherence to global standards on planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Focus on continuous improvement of the business, work practices and asset performance.
- Implement lean management practices including 5S to improve workplace conditions.
- Audit training compliance of employees within their area of accountability.
- Develop the area's annual execution plan and develop area specific goals and objectives.
- Forecast and managing multi-million-dollar annual maintenance budget.

About You
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering combined with a Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng.), Engineering Technology Diploma, or Certified Red Seal designation in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a mining/processing maintenance environment combined with at least 5 years frontline leadership experience.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of maintenance reliability principles and practices.
- Knowledge of open pit and underground mining is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a fly in/fly out environment is considered an asset.
- Solid budgeting abilities.

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician – Truck & Transport Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of medium and other light vehicles on site. The Maintenance Technician – Truck & Transport Technician is also responsible for maintaining equipment safely and effectively to meet performance requirements and the needs of the organization. The Maintenance Technician – Truck & Transport Technician will work out of the Light Vehicle Shop with a diverse team of various tradespeople. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Service, inspect, and repair various makes and models of diesel-powered medium and light-duty equipment, as well as small gasoline powered recreational and utility vehicles.

The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will support our Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance department at the Voisey's Bay Mine Site. The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will be responsible for creating construction and maintenance plans for U/G infrastructure including bulk material handling systems, conveyors, pumps, sizers, overhead doors, fan installations, etc. The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will also aid the maintenance team to stay focused and on track with the scheduled short- and long-term plans. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Assemble ready to execute job packages.
- Utilize SAP to developed detailed planning for U/G Mechanical equipment including identification of tasks, materials, tools, equipment, and resources.
- Review the status of work orders to prioritize planning activities for approved work orders within area of responsibility on a daily basis.
- Ensure the identification of resource requirements and readiness for execution prior to the date required for the work to be completed.
- Encourage contribution of planning details from those expected to complete work.
- Incorporate crew input into planning packages for work execution.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders to meet completion deadlines.
- Improve the efficiency of the planning process by developing and using standard jobs as templates.
- Ensure that all work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Create accurate plans for the scheduling and resource forecasting for weekly, monthly, and long-term maintenance schedules.

Location: Muskrat Falls, LabradorThe Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Mechanical Maintenance group during the performance of regular preventative and corrective maintenance at the Muskrat Falls Generating Station and associated facilities, Transition Compound and Converter Station. The incumbent is expected to exercise a considerable amount of judgement and personal initiative in the performance of day to day activities required to implement the maintenance plan.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will assign work to employees to ensure the best possible use of resources and materials, and that any necessary outages are kept to a minimum duration. This position will also supervise employees engaged in completing all capital projects on schedule, administer the collective agreement, as well as review and approve timesheets.
The incumbent must ensure the necessary tools, equipment, spare parts, etc. are properly maintained and are available for use when needed. In addition, the incumbent will conduct planned general inspections, as well as accident/incident investigations to ensure all hazards in the workplace are identified and eliminated or controlled. This position will also responds to emergency situations such as equipment failure and supervises employees to correct the problem as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This position will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all Corporate policies and procedures, and Ensures that all existing Corporate Policies, Safety and Loss Control Programs, etc., are adhered to by the Mechanical Department. The incumbent should also be familiar with the Environmental Policy and Guiding Principles and applicable environmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications:
High school graduation and either graduation from an appropriate technology course, or an Interprovincial Journeyperson's certificate in the Industrial Mechanical field. A minimum 2-5 years' experience of progressively responsible electric utility experience with relevant and transferable experience at the supervisory or management level.

We are currently seeking a Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our Integrated Planning department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This position is on a two week on, two week off rotation.
The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner will support our Underground Mobile Maintenance department at the Voisey's Bay Mine Site. The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner will develop work orders and schedules for underground mobile equipment while incorporating safe working condition criteria, production targets, and forecasting the appropriate resources to complete safe work. The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner will also aid the maintenance team to stay focused and on track with the scheduled short- and long-term plans. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Assemble ready to execute job packages.
- Utilize SAP to developed detailed planning for U/G Mobile equipment including identification of tasks, materials, tools, equipment, and resources.
- Work with the various departments to support the maintenance program of the U/G Mobile Equipment fleet.
- Review, monitor, and adjust critical material availability for priority equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in expediting repair parts for equipment breakdowns.
- Incorporate crew input into planning packages for work execution.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders to meet completion deadlines.
- Improve the efficiency of the planning process by developing and using standard jobs as templates.
- Ensure that all work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Compile, update, and manage the backlog and other mandated control reports.
- Work with procurement, expediting, and vendors to track delivery of critical materials to site.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance contractors.
- Monitor and communicate Key Performance Indicators and implement strategies to improve compliance.
About You
Education:
- Post-secondary education is required.

We are currently seeking a Utilities Maintenance Superintendent to join our Maintenance department in Voisey's Bay, NL. This is a permanent position.
This position is based at the Voisey's Bay mine site in Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This rotational based position will be on a one week on, one week off or a two week on, two week off rotation, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the business.
The Utilities Maintenance Superintendent will develop the systems and maintenance reliability strategy for the existing and future diesel power generating plants, supporting distribution systems and utilities. Supporting the Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager, preparing for the thorough development and execution of appropriate maintenance strategies to deliver Power and Utilities systems reliability. Also, supporting the Site Services Manager in developing the Voisey's Power Generation, Distribution and Utilities Operation/Maintenance Strategy. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Provide field level leadership to a large diverse team of mechanical trades, electrical and instrumentation trades, supervisors, and engineers during maintenance activities.
- Implement management systems within the area(s) of accountability to achieve zero harm to employees, the business, the environment, and the community.
- Complete incident investigations and assigns actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure adherence to global standards on planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Focus on continuous improvement of the business, work practices and asset performance.
- Implement lean management practices including 5S to improve workplace conditions.
- Audit training compliance of employees within their area of accountability.
- Develop the area's annual execution plan and develop area specific goals and objectives.
- Forecast and managing multi-million-dollar annual maintenance budget.
- Contribute to asset integrity reviews and develop repair plans to address risks.
- Present monthly deviations to senior management and implement action plans.
About You
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering combined with a Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng.), Engineering Technology Diploma, or Certified Red Seal designation in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a fixed plant or power generation maintenance environment combined with at least 5 years frontline leadership experience.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of maintenance reliability principles and practices.
- Must have excellent leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and oral and communications skills.
- Knowledge of open pit and underground mining is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a fly in/fly out environment is considered an asset.
- Solid budgeting abilities.
- General knowledge of warehousing and procurement.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural workforce.
- Must have working Knowledge with CMMS systems (SAP preferred).

The Griffith Island Club is a privately owned sporting shooting club situation in Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada. The 2300 acre island provides its membership with clay target shooting, sport fishing, game bird (Pheasant & Partridge), Turkey and Whitetail Deer hunting activities during the season. The membership enjoy exclusive access to the club from April until December each year although it is operationally manned year round.
The lodge caters 22 individuals and has its own private chefs, club staff and an extensive logistical operations program including a 2700’ grass landing strip and fleet of watercraft that operate on a daily basis in season.
The club is continually developing its strategy to deliver unique and exceptional hunting experiences and is currently recruiting for the position of Game and Habitat Team Member – Outdoor Operations.

• Working closely with Head Gamekeeper you will adhere to operational plans on all aspects relating to game bird and habitat management
• Ensure delivery of safe and interesting hunts of various kinds, applying an innovative spirit for purposes of creating memorable shooting experiences
• Raise pheasants, including breeding (from incubation of eggs through to mature birds) to maturity presenting birds of the highest quality and appearance

Position Summary
We are looking for an Agricultural Intern to join us for a 3+ month period, starting in May 2024. This position is based in Grand Falls, New Brunswick as part of our North American Agriculture team.
During your internship, you will have exposure to grower relations, crop monitoring and intelligence, raw product alignment, cost of production, research and applied science and extension activities including agronomy and sustainability, and the general operation of a commercial agriculture department. You will also see firsthand how McCain's potatoes are produced and processed into finished product for our customers.You will be exposed to McCain manufacturing operations and will have the opportunity to complete a series of in-house training modules that are part of a wider McCain Agriculture training program.
Upon successful completion of the internship as well as completion of a diploma or degree in an agriculture field, you will be a step ahead of other candidates considered for full time employment within McCain Foods LTD.The Team

Responsibilities:
As a Civil Designer /Modeler, you will work in collaboration with the Civil Team.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Prepare and develop the concept, presentation, detailed, and tender-ready design of various civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including corridors and surfaces
- Work with various modeling software to analyze different possible scenarios and solutions to complex issues
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
- Develop construction quantity and cost estimates, complete with required calculations and evaluations
- Perform constructability review of projects
- Analyze data and report on findings
- Maintain and progress with current industry standards
- Responsible to advance and understand project requirements related to current development standards, specifications, and guidelines.

About Strescon
Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. The primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces, the New England region of the United States, and Bermuda. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products; including, bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollow-core planking, piling and deck slabs. - Fabricating hardware
